Miles Per Gallon Feedback
I don't know how you guys are driving, I'm guessing it's with a lead foot because I get 27hwy in my 6MT.
I do 90% city driving and average 15-17mpg. Rarely get on it, dont use paddles much, get 290-300 to a tank on average.
On the few tanks where I'm about 50-50 street/highway 65-75 cruise control, I get about 380 to a tank, makes it about 22mpg.
When I first got the car broken in and would beat up on it, no highway driving and getting on it around down got 260 to a tank.
Never taken a road trip in the car to go through a whole tank on the highway but I'm sure this car is capable of 27mpg if you cruised lightly on the freeway.

I just got my 09 G37 sedan recently, less than 600 miles on the odometer and get 19 in city stop and go to work. It is a very short commute of 4.5 miles one way with numerous traffic lights. Speed limit most the way is 40 mph, if traffic allows it.
I see some improvement by adding highway in, but it only goes to about 21 mpg for ~ 40 hwy / 60 city mix. I am hoping that will improve as the engine loosens up.
I generally drive modestly and let the 7AT shift under 3k rpm.
It's still got a long way before the 1200 miles of recommended break in period is up.
On the odd occurence of healthy acceleration needed due to traffic....
Well lets say I enjoy knowing its there, but I am trying not to abuse it.
these numbers are figured manually, but the display seems to be dead on accurate.

All right people, some of you may categorize this as "gay" driving, check this out: so I had a flat tire and was forced to roll on the donut for a few days, in which case I had tone my spirited driving down. The results? Well, by bringing my highway speeds down to 60-65 mph, and by shifting constantly at no higher than 2000 rpm's I was able to get about 50 more miles out of my tank. Typically I get 400 miles to the tank (combined city/hwy driving), and while I rolled on the donut I got about 450 miles to that tank if not a little more.
So, keep your highway speeds under 3000 rpms and shift gears at 2000 rpms and you're guaranteed to get better gas mileage.

very possible. i started off with a fresh tank and drove about 45 miles to a golf course where by the time i parked, my average was at 25.3. about half way through my drive, i was actually at ~26.7 (can't remember the exact number), but I decided to gun it a little more afterwards.
