OK. You got a completely different takeaway from their words than I did.

I'll be on the lookout for the version with the M278 4.7L TT V8 from the Mercedes S Class.

 

All they mentioned was a new line of 6 cylinder TT engines but no mention of specs. Pretty vague so not sure what your takeaway from that was.

Very little I would imagine. While I haven't seen numbers my guess the G37/Q60 has been the Infiniti top seller.

The one thing that pisses me off is the mention of a 7spd AT. No mention of an optional 6spd or a DCG setup. IDK

 

Two things from this article that are unsettling...

"Bartsch will be replaced by Nissan’s West Region Vice President Randy Parker, effective immediately."

They seem to be rephrasing what everyone else because they are a few days late to report what others have. I wouldn't put too much into any articles until Geneva.

The reason I bring up Geneva is because they will be talking about the Q30/QX30, why not bring this new coupe that has drawn alot of positive reactions for Infiniti? And if you bring it, you have to talk about it right? Well why not talk about new information?

Also, if it does end up being a 7sp auto and not a DSG, thats not a bad thing if its an Auto that has the R&D behind it. Look at the Vette/Hellcats.

Now if its the same 7spd, then Ill buy 8 pitchforks and a party bus and book a ferry!

 

I haven't heard any mention of anything other than an auto transmission. Not even a DCT 'auto'.

I find it hard to believe that they won't offer a 6 speed manual.

But if for some stupid reason they don't, then I will cross the new Q60 off my list. As will a lot of others, I'm sure.

Give up hope. Lots of people never read what's already been posted in this thread (sometimes just a few posts prior) before posting a link to something that's news to them. Just continually clutter it up reposting things that have already been posted. And would very likely be hurt if I just went through and deleted all the reposts.

 

I know this seems to be the same "news" every time anything gets posted. But in this article, the only new thing mentioned was the trans. However, there was no mention of any options in that area so I am still holding hope for a traditional 6spd! If not, and its the same stupid 7at, I will be on the ferry with you with torches lit!

I am with you, although the thought of at least 400 hp is very very tempting in any form when the car looks this good
