There is also a difference of only .4 inches in ride height between the RWD Red Sport and AWD Red Sport. The RWD model is .4 inches lower. I think the weight distribution is a little better in the RWD as well, with the nose end being 6% heavier; and in the AWD its 7% heavier.

Not much difference between ride heights and weight distributions. It's really going to be whether you prefer a RWD car or an AWD one. The RWD is also 152 lbs. lighter.

Does anybody know what exactly is the difference between the 300hp version, and 400hp version?

Would a tune on the 300hp be able to bump the power to 400hp or are there other factors in play?

I dont know where i read it but someone was saying that Nissan/Infiniti was making sure it would be difficult to bump horsepower from 300 to 400 with just a simple tune.

I know for sure that there is an extra water pump in the 400HP model for cooling purposes. And I am guessing the turbos might be different, but I'm not sure.

Good luck with that. You know how much pain it is to scan through the apps and look for the stupid steering apps. Unless they changed it to make it easier? Since the steering reverts to standard mode automatically when you turn off the car.

I forgot how to do it but I know there is like 2 steps. Selecting the steering to Heavy mode alone doesn't work. You have to select a profile to "custom" or something and then go to the steering app to select sports mode.

I'll bet you do it for the first week and then say F it!

Or, you can just set the "sports" mode using the "toggle" but driving in sports mode in traffic is herky jerky. Since the "toggle" sports mode also changes acceleration.

The RS version also has an optical sensor that helps boost the output. It won't be as simple as some think to tune this engine. However, I will be more than happy with 400hp.

Gee, I want a car like this real soon!
As I said in a previous post weeks ago, most will never use this nonsense.
But at least Infiniti is pumping the engine sound through the Bose speakers to make you 'feel' like an Indy driver!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Its super simple.

1st time.
Click right arrow on bottom screen.
Select "Infiniti Drive Mode Slector"
Select "Steering and Imput"
Pick your settings.
Done

Every time there after use toggle switch by shifter dubbed Infinti Drive mode Selector and pick Personal. The cars come with Sport and Sport+ (on the RS)

If those simple steps are too much of a PITA for anyone, then I dont know what they expect.

And to answer the question as to why "it wont stay in those settings" when you shut it off. Well the car was certified with the EPA in Standard mode. So that is what it reverts too.

Sounds pretty simple and straight forward. Glad they didn't bury it all the way into tons of settings. Sport+ will be my go to setting!

Do you have an ETA for when you all will get your first RS versions?

Famous last words. Until you get dusted by someone in a Mustang and think another 50hp should do the trick!

Here's a write up from Stillen in an attempt to analyze further tuning of the new VR 3.0 V6 twin turbo engine:
