I thought it was very nice, the only reason why I knew it was pleather was because it didn't have the package listed. The seat itself was very comfortable as well, and this was the non-sport seat. Silver sport and red sport coupes have real leather seats standard.

The ICC is part of the Tech Package....I wish it was part of the DA package, that is the only worthwhile element of the Tech Package IMO, but the way it is bundled now one has to also get the DAS package to get ICC.

DAS, ICC and and everything dependent on DAS should be an independent package. It should be called, get this, DAS Package.

Tech package should then include everything else like the headlights, advanced climate control, Front / Passenger pre crash seat belts.

Again, they're trying to force people to buy their crappy DAS system by lumping it into packages that don't need it.

Before, it was dumped into the Deluxe Touring Package.

Yeah you are right, and if you actually do want the DAS, they are making you get the maple wood interior. I am not fond of maple wood interiors. Like where is the flexibility Nissan/infiniti???

same - i would have to get black, and then immediately black out all that chrome, especially around the grille.

Yeah I think the front would look tons better with black chrome over the silver chrome. Where are our photoshop experts?

Edit: here is my attempt:

Someone has a Q50 on here and they posted a pic where they blacked out the grill with vinyl and it looked really nice.

Everyone realizes that leather seats are only the area your butt and back touch (aka leather seating surfaces) and not the whole seat. All the so called leather the guy points out in the video review (door panels, center console sides, etc) are not leather. You need to jump WAY up in price point to get that much leather.

But what is especially annoying is that ICC doesn't require DAS - ICC has been around for a while now, before steer-by-wire came along. You don't need steering input to slow down or speed up. ICC should have been a part of the DA package.

Not a fan of wood either but at least in the coupe it is black maple wood unlike the sedan, which is believe is the amber/brown/orange kind. Also I think if you get the RS/SS you can get the DAS without the maple wood interior.

If Nissan just put this engine and interior in a new Z they could print money like no one's business.

Well the Z already did share the G model's VQ, along with many other cars, so Nissan may put this new VR into the new Z as well. However I have heard rumors that Nissan may also use this new VR engine in the next Nissan GTR model. If that is true, i highly doubt Nissan will be using a premium level engine in 3 different cars.

The reason why the Q60 even got this new revised VR is because it's actually a skyline. Skylines and GTRs have always had an intimate relationship although Nissan has recently separated GTR and skyline GTR nomenclature.

So I'm not sure what is going to happen to the Z, if it will get the new VR as well, or a proper twin turbo VQ, like the VQ30DETT that was used in the 2001 JGTC for the R34. I don't know

I highly doubt Nissan would replace it's hand built and personally signed GT-R motor with a mass produced TT. That would cut the value of the GT-R by at least 30%.
