I actually posted a link to that way back when. But good refresher. I just hope it's easy to get the car into the 12's with just an exhaust (and LSD).

There's a guy that was running consistent high 12's trapping around 112 on the q50 forums with a stock AWD RS400. 12's will definitely be doable stock in good conditions, especially with a set of drag radials.

Well if stillen can work with this engine we should be seeing it soar past 400HP it would be a "everything killer" at that point lol for just about 50 grand. Not to mention other aftermarket parts and weight reduction

the good thing is that a LSD can be purchased for the price of something like an exhaust system.. Another potential money-maker for aftermarket vendors... they should go ahead and jump on that. the Q50 is already out and can be used for R&D

The real question now with direct injection is how bad the carbon build up will be. Hopefully they wont follow in VW/Audi footsteps

They went over that in training. Its a different design where it sprays after the valve to mitigate that if I recall right.

for sure, the LSD should help alot with that time. a reviewer, auto alex specifically, mentioned that the RWD red sport had significant wheel spin affecting its 0-60 time and of course 1/4 mile time as well. The AWD version as mentioned above is able to consistently hit in the high 12 region just stock.

No 20" wheel for RS400. Aftermarket wheel companies are lovin' that!

Also, I see the RWD RS400 comes in at a 'piggish' 3,862 pounds. And the AWD RS400 at a morbidly obese 4,024 pounds! Thought my IPL was heavy (which it IS) at 3,718#. Not so much anymore.

Also noticed it's only 1 inch wider than my IPL. The pictures make it look moreso. 1/2 inch shorter and same height (stock)

its not power to weight, its weight distribution percentage, the 58/42 means the car is 8% heavier toward the nose end and 8% lighter toward the rear end. 50/50 weight distribution means both front and rear ends carry the same percentage of weight, neither is a certain percentage heavier or lighter.
