I will probably get my first oil change done for free at the dealer, but then I will probably do them myself.

Dealer wants 107$ for the Nissan Ester oil.

DIY, save yourself money, quick and easy, and you can hold yourself accountable for any silly mess ups.

...move to SoCal sub-forum?

Anyway, I've had all mine (only two) done at the dealership so far. I have one more free one left. After that, it'll depend on how much the dealer charges.

Here, I think standard is 5W-30? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. It may even depend on the area you live because of weather conditions.

DIY in my driveway! it saves so much money. Just go pick up a new nissan filter & crush washer for the oil drain plug, some mobile 1 (10w30 is what i use) and your good to go. Takes like 20 minutes and its very simple.

Unbolt 4 screws under the car and fold back the little panel and hold it back with a little homemade hook. i made mine out of a cut clothes hanger. haha, goodluck.
