Differential Fluid, Auto Trans Fluid Change Timing
Hey all,
I have an appointment at Infiniti for an oil change and tire rotation and was wondering when you all changed your diff fluid? My car has 41k miles and as far as I know it hasn't been changed. Too early to change? What about trans fluid and power steering? I was thinking of waiting til 60k to change all 3?
thanks!
Ryan

Changed Diff & Trans(mt) fluid a couple of weeks ago at 60K miles
Pretty easy to do. Just get a hand transfer pump and you should be all set to go.

Ive got precisely the same milage and just asked this over in the tech section.
Since I DIY, I'm going to do the differential next time im under there to do my oil. AT seeems good for a long time, so im not going to worry about it to at least 60-80k
One thing i didn't get an answer to was whether i need to worry aboit the front diff and transfer case. As the ATTESA is primarily RWD, am I correct in assuming they dont get nearly as much wear, or should i change them as well?

I bought my car in '13 with 72K miles, and I promptly got the 75K service done to clear any doubts out of the way. The ATF was pretty dark and clearly a bit overdue so I went ahead and had that done. I'm not sure it was changed before that, as the only previous record of the car's service at the dealership was at 15K miles. I didn't notice any difference after the change, a good thing I guess. Oh, and I have the 5AT.
