The general consensus is that the factory catalytic converters use two large bricks where as high flow cats use a smaller single core. This means that all of the heat coming out of the engine/exhaust is going through a very small core in comparison. The HFC simply can not withstand this increased demand and begins to break down prematurely.

During our research and testing we have worked on everything from 2.5 liter N/A 4 cylinders to 5.7+ liter supercharged V8's producing close to 700HP.

We have also discussed this in great length with all of the top catalytic converter manufacturers and even CARB test labs who test these cats for EPA and CARB emissions certification.

I am currently working with and testing a new product that probably won't be ready for release for another year or more. We are in the very early stages of development.

I can co-sign that finding when comparing HFC vs Stock Cats. But Stocks Cats doesn't outperform TP's when applied on a Forced Induction vehicle.

Forced Induction covers both superchargers and turbos. In turbos non catted downpipes are better for performance. With the STILLEN Supercharger, we see better performance and numbers with the stock cats. For ultimate performance on a lot of supercharger systems and racecars running blowers you don't want to run any cats. However, on this applications (and a lot of other street supercharger kits), the stock cats will yield better performance. You can ask the guys here on the forum who can testify to that.

I actually decided not to go this route because it will be at it's limits on the stock motor and a red flag at that point.

Currently with GTR Spark Plugs/1000CC Injectors and UPREV MAF Sensors is as far as I will go, the only upgrades/changes I will make is the Frozenboost front mount cooler which I feel is an awesome upgrade and a must for the High Boost Kit I am running with a 9PSI pulley.

I daily my car and travel 90 miles round trip to work, all highway miles. I keep it under 3K and feels literally like stock and very reliable. I am currently on Stillen's custom tune and it's pretty amazing. Nothing like the tunes they offered before, this is now tuned to accomodate my high boost kit ocn 93 oct.

It's all in the tune and from my experience make sure its installed and tuned properly, this goes for any kit.

The kit comes with everything you need (Injectors/fuel pump/heat exchanger/8PSI pulley)

You should add an Oil Cooler and swap the clutch/flywheel though.

Upgrades you can add later on is (9PSI pulley/1000CC Injectors/Frozenboost Cooler to replace the Stillen heat Exchanger for more cooling & The UPREV GT Mass Air Flow Sensors)

I plan to add the Frozenboost cooler later on but the one supplied from Stillen is good enough for daily driving. More cooling never hurts also make sure you add a tranny cooler if you're auto. 6MT doesn't require tranny cooling. BTW I am still on the OEM clutch.

Ok thanks for your help , I have a 6puck clutch and act flywheel already also have 4.08 gears , I was planning on buying a "tuner kit" and installing myself (I'm a diesel technician by trade) and having Rt tuning tune the car for me idk if they can set an rpm limit for me maybe to 7200 because I have a bad habit of shifting at 8k and I hear with the sc that's a bad idea

My pleasure. It's very easy to install yourself, would take a good 13 hours but nothing you couldn't handle I am sure. Everything is very straight forward the hardest part would be the fuel pump but again since you're a mechanic it should be a breeze.

We you planning on going with the high boost pulley or the standard 8 lb pulley when you get your tuner kit?
