G37 7speed transmission reprogram
Interesting; 12-027 is not listed on my service order either. I did have 10-075a. I was in a rush to get out of there but the service manager did say that they applied 2 updates. Not sure what the second would be. I'll call them next week to get an answer.
Btw the service manager said it's no sweat for them to do the update because Infiniti reimburses them for the work.

I can't believe how idiotic and ignorant both the dealers service departments AND Infiniti customer service are. My car is fixed, and yet reading this I still have a hatred for Infiniti!! They should be ashamed of themselves. Three years of this bull**** with this POS transmission, and these morons still cant tell their asses from their elbows. 075a is a disaster. 027 fixes it. Plenty of cars have already been updated from 075a to 027. Any dealer that says otherwise is full of ****.
You have to do their jobs for them. Tell them that ITB12-027 or 027a applies to your car, and do not leave there until they fix their computer system, fix their brains, or both. I'm disgusted, and I'm not even experiencing any problems now.

Called today to schedule my oil change and update for next week--dealer could not tell me whether they would be able to do update because they claimed a) the latest update wasn't showing "on their screen" and b) they wouldn't be able to tell anyway until the car is actually hooked up to the computer. Being in Caada, I'll predict that I'll get there next week and the magic computer will only show 075a.

I think the tranny's adaptive feature is starting to kick in...
with my morning commute, it seems like the 7-5 downshifting is slowing down (relative to how it was on day 1 after re-flash) when I hit the gas now...
anybody else feeling this is happening?
though, I still don't understand what does the ASC accomplish... every press release discusses that it makes the drive sportier like a synchro rev-match...
2010-2011 G37 shift responsiveness issues.
ITB12-027 Released: 5/15/12
Engine VQ37VHR
2010-2011 G37 (V36/CV36)
7 speed tranny.
If you confirm one or more conditions.
1. Harsher than expected down shifts when coasting to a stop.
2. Hesitaion/lag when accelerating after coasting
3. Hesitation/lag or harsher than expected down shifts when coming to a stop and accelerating again (rolling stop).
4. Engine rev matching during moderate to heavy braking.
NOTE: This is normal ASC, adaptive shift control, operation that can be removed from the normal drive mode, but will remain in sport mode.

There are two problems:
1) The dealers want demonstrated proof of a problem before they even look for an update.
2) The dealer can't find the latest update (only 075a) for a particular car/VIN when they do go in to do it.
Some people are only having the second problem--when the dealer cares less because they are getting paid by Infiniti to do the update and they listen and respect a customer who probably knows more than they do.

For the '09's I think when they initially hook up the Consult tool and hit update, nothing is found. They then probably have to do a manual search for 12-027. When the found it for me, they said will flash it and see what happens.
Eureka!! If only more than 1% of Infiniti dealers were that good! The 99% the rest of us have to deal with won't go the extra step.
12-027 covers all 09-11 G37 sedans and coupes. The tech must use Consult 3+ to Reprogram the ECM and tcm, not Consult 3.If it is not used, the update will not be listed. If the dealership does not update their ASIST every day, bulletins and software updates will not be in their system.
