No need. I should have clarified. Database updates = updates for newer ECU versions so it works with the newer cars.

He was also using beta code that HT gave him to try out, which explains the difficulties.

so i want to pull the trigger on this but i'm still a little skepticle spending over 3 hundred on something that only gets me 6 hp and 10tq. i've read all these posts about it but does anyone have before and after dynos? it seems like everyone is just going by what they feel. can i hear some suggestions why i should and should not get this. if it helps i have 6MT with injen cai, invidia cbe, and will be buying hfc soon. how much will this make a difference oppose to uprev.

 

^^^good think about hypertech is you can go back to stock anytime..but if you have all those mods and are getting HFC you best bet would be to get a uprev

And you've plugged it in and updated on the computer?

If so, it should ask for your email address, then they will contact you when its ready. It took 3 days for me.

but all i selected was remove throttle restriction is that what gives me extra 6hp/10TQ??

and do you think it hurts going back and forth to stock like once or twice a week for 3 years??

 

Before the throttle restriction it'll ask you if you want to do the performance tune, the tune gives you the hp.

You can go back and forth as many times as you want. I had to flash back and forth a couple of times because my ecu's pulling up codes.
