About to pull the trigger on the hypertech. I enjoy stumping on the gas when getting on highway but not the wipe lash when engine suddenly kicks in. The 3 to 4 gear problem was annoying and unsafe when I first got my X sedan in Dec 2009 but seems to be less with 7800 miles on my car(maybe I got use to it). I dont track but do like a spirited drive when leo is not watching (escort redline..checked). I read some mix expeince on TSM reprogram thread and one poster said after reflash, there was shift pedal delay. That said, should I just get the hypertech and forgo the TSM update given the benefits of a hypertech? Side question, does the hypertech affect gas mileage (I know, if you have to ask you dont need it)?

You won't get good mileage with the HT... for obvious reasons... lol

I have both the 7AT TSM and the HT tune installed. No problems here. It's smoothed out (in a good way) considerably for me at lower RPM in traffic etc.

Oh man did they at least take responsibility for messing up your ECU? Hopefully the car is fine now right?

I guess that is why they call it beta testing, did HT at least warn you there maybe some risk involved before you decided to install it? I'm hoping they helped you out with reflashing/replacing the ecu.

Yea did not tell me I could mess up the car. Would have never done it car only had 700 miles on it. Yes they would have helped with the ECU if I did not have it already at the dealer. HT guys where very helpful tho.

Aw man. Got HT for my 2011 G37x Sedan and I have a calibration that is not currently supported. I have emailed support and also submitted my email address for notification when a calibration becomes available - guess its time to play the waiting game...

question for you guys with them out there.... when u removed the 0-60 throttle restriction....did u feel a big difference? wheels spin more? or was it the same

Assuming i have this right.. factory is 80% throttle allowed when going WOT under 60... if we remove this shouldnt we get 60 faster?

I believe the stock throtle restriction is 60% up to 60 mph and yes removing the restriction def makes a big difference it takes away all of the lag... there was also a member on here that ran a 13.5 1/4 with just a ht...

just a general question, a little off topic but still relates. i've read around somewhere that there could be potential damage from flashing the ecu ie opening the throttle flaps 100% versus the 60%. any truth to that statement or notion? maybe more wear and tear on parts (wheels, clutch assembly)...?

ps why ht over uprev? did a quick search - 6hp/10tq gains?

I keep reading there might not be throttle restrictions for VQG35HR since its not VVEL in the G37 or something?
