Hypertech Max Energy Sport...just got it
Well, I can't say I feel the power b/c with these snow tires on the car is AWFUL to drive. It slides around corners under normal driving, and blows out the tires off the line...I will be putting back to stock for now and see what's what come the spring. I really don't think the Traction Control Light should be coming on like it is though. That NEVER happened with my 03.5 Sedan or 05 Coupe....though I had H-Rated Blizzaks vs. the T-Rated Hankook W409 Winter i-Pikes I just got...
I doubt you'll see 10-20Hp improvment making more then a .2 second difference if even that. The better indication is driving experience... do they want to unplug it after experiencing the performance with it in... answer here is I bet not.
If I was doing nothing else, this would be the mod I'd do.
- Do you find it hard not to drive agressively?
- Are you getting addicted to the feeling of your back being pushed into the seat?
- Do you hate red lights and can't wait for a green to warp rediculously ahead of the cars behind you?
- Does the price of Gas no longer seem to bother you?
If I was doing nothing else, this would be the mod I'd do.
with my hypertech I dropped into the 5.1-5.2 range 0-60. Torque is emphasized down low, gets off the line faster, 0-60 restriction removal gives me a lot of squeal off the line as well. 1/4 best time has been a 13.55 at 106 mph.
This has all been measured with the iphone dynolicious app, which is very accurate if the weight is accurate. meaning you and all you junk in the car + gas has to be accommodated in the final number.
I do all my runs in the same place from exact same a-b point. So my data is internally consistent. Meaning, while my numbers may be off a little in reality (I may actually be faster or slower at a strip) the difference between the two tunes (stock and HT) is accurate. So I've gained .2 to .3 in 0-60 as well as the 1/4. The tune does more than just generate +6 to 10 hp and +11 torque, it changes the shape of the power curve + other stuff, puts power in different places. HT falls off faster than stock at peak RPM, for instance.
pre-hypertech I was 5.4 to 5.5 and 13.8+ in 1/4 at 100-101 mph.
So I feel it has really been a great bang-for-buck mod.

So this works with the 09 sport vert 7AT and it's totally worthwhile. I did the online update first then the programming. no shift lag, even with the paddle shifters.
