That how dealers change ATF on our G.
Lol that adapter is $50 in canada. Pass... I'll try doing something different with a fluid transfer pump and see how that goes. And good call with the dipstick, I figured it was a nice to have but not a need. Wasn't sure if there was a specific level that the trans needed to be at, but if it's like doing a diff where its full when spilling out I'm fine with that.

I used transfer pump too,but you need to find something to connect your pump hose to fill hole in the tranny pan and, like i said level of ATF set by lenght of the tube attached to fill hole in a tranny pan, when fluid reach top of the tube and start to spill down is mean you got your ATF filled to requared level. That is mean lengt of that tube actually work as a dipstick.Do not forget to lover your car from the jack to drain ecsessive fluid out.

The tapered end of a differential fluid bottle with work with a fluid pump. You can jam this plastic tip inside of the hole and it will do the job.
The level will solve all of your guesses. By using the level on the most leveled area of the pan will mean that the internal fill tube will also be leveled, removing the need to put your car on the floor to drain excess.
Also very important, fluid excess needs to be checked on hot fluid while the vehicle is on.

I don’t really understand what abrecos is saying about the level tube, or something , should have quoted it cause I already forgot but I see what your saying bull about the temperature. I have a scanner for the car that tells me the internal temp of the fluid, will be testing that today to see what happens from cold to running. And I intend on having the car level on Jack’s when this is done

All i am saying that there is a welded tube on the fill hole inside the pan and you fill ATF until is start dripping from that hole, make sure your car is leveled, and when is dripping of ATF fluid stops put your plug in and called it done.
