I have a question. I currently have Nissan 370z wheel on my car. Is the TPMS the same as in the Infiniti G37 wheels? I want to reset it myself as well but I want to make sure they are the same first.

 

the sensor must be sensitive because the indicator light came on after I hit a tiny bump. *stock wheels*

 

HOly **** this thing sounds like a big headache...

 

I had my TPMS resetted by the dealership for free...

 

I'll try this in few week on my '08 G sedan...

Haven't tried since I put my new tires on and corrected the tpms. I got tired of it not working. Anthony, if you figure this thing out help me out on Sunday. Lol

 

Mine is coming on intermittently; sometimes stays on til I kill the ignition and sometimes goes on and off like one of the sensors is loose or something, so going to try this later today. Will report back if I get it to work.

 

So, after reading through 9.5 pages of this tread, I need to ask the most basic of questions. Why do you guys all of your TPMS light on? Did you swap wheels?

I would not think a tire rotation itself would do this. The ECM would only be wrong with where it thought each tire was.

I used to wrench at a dealer for another brand of car, and when we rotated the tires you had to take a magnet and set the car into a learn mode. Then place the magnet around each valve, individually, in a specific order. The PCM would learn which tire was which, but this was only because it had a heads up display that told you the constant pressure of each tire. As far as I can tell, the purpose of the G37 having the TPMS is only to let you know if ONE of your tires has a low pressure, not WHICH ONE.

Am I wrong on that? Please correct me if so.

I just tried it on my and now it stays on steady. even when i first start the car....... now what?

Seriously tho, just put the correct amount of air in your tires and you should be good to go. When I did it, my light went off, came back on, I put air in the tires, and light hasn't been on since.

 

I did.... 36 psi all around. and drove it for 10 min at 40 mph.... P.S. I originally got the light from a bad TPMS . I replaced it with an oro-tek osc-8204

 

Please help me out. I did the steps to reset the tpms correctly the first time but failed to set the tire pressure first. it did search for 10 minutes then let out a loud long tone and timed out while driving o nthe highway. The second attempt i "THINK" i had the tire pressure set dead on and this time while driving it timed out in 4 minutes. In both attempts the end result when it beeped loud the light stop flashing and stayed steady on.Should I have not turned off the car when i heard the loud beep on the second try and aired up the tires to normal to complete the relearn?
Any help at all would be great!
And to be sure you do drive under or over 25 mph?
And my car is a 2010 maxima. the same relearn plug is in the same location as all of yours. and enters relearn mode fine on the 6th tap to ground.

 

this is what happened to me.Maybe at the end after the beep i should have filled the tires back up before turning the car off to finalize the process?And is it 5 or 6 times to tap the wire to ground?I have no issues getting it into learn mode at all.

 

Tried but no cigar for me. Here's what happened: Off with 19's. On with winter 18's
with Pacific tpms sensors then light blinks 50 times and goes solid.
Inflated to stated pressures and got light to blink. Drove around about 20 minutes until light went out. After few minutes light came on solid. Got home did not shut engine.
Attached air-pressure pump to battery. Inflated tires to normal but light never went out. Tried turning engine on and off but light remains solid. Would appreciate any ideas.

 

I never updated when i tried this in the summer.

I put my wheels to stated pressure, got it into flashing mode, went for a drive, hit a bunch of traffic so couldnt really get above 25mph for too long. After 15mins decided to try another time. On the way back home light went steady, never turned off in between.

When i got home i put the pressures back to normal and went for a drive later that night to see if it would go off, which it didnt.

From then on the light never flashed again, just stayed steady, even when first starting the car. I also couldnt get it to go back into flashing mode.
