I emailed them. Vinylex is water based and does not contain any petroleum products.

So, does it mean that it's at least ok to use then? We don't have to "so call avoid" all silicone products, it's the specific petroleum kind that we should avoid. Dose that change your mind of Vinylex?

I'd still recommend 1z cockpit premium and 1z rubber/ vinyl because they both work great. Obviously I've never used Vinylex before. But it seems safe.

Enjoyed the discussion w u. Made me go look up stuffs.

On a diff subject, I am currently using one of those super absorbing sheet, from Armorall I think, to do the initial drying after wash. Is that bad?

If its the type of sheet/ towel Im thinking of, than yes. You want to use a high quality microfiber towel. However, when the car is properly sealed or waxed, using the correct soap, and the flooding method, then all you need to dry is a electric blower- whether it is a leaf blower or shop vac.

I vary rarely pull out my MF drying towels.

Definitely DON'T use that. It has no way of pulling the contaminants away from the paint so all you do is mar the paint. Sheet the water after washing and you can dry the entire car with 1 MF waffle towel. (or use a blower as ^^suggested)

Maybe I wasn't doing it right, I tried water sheeting first. I wasn't that dry, so the next time I changed to one of those sheet...I guess I will try water sheeting again...
