Dealership is BSing me!!!
So I contacted Markham Infiniti to get a bunch of stuff done to my car, and the guy at the service department tells me I DON'T GET A LOANER CAR BECAUSE I HAVE A U.S. VEHICLE.
What. The. ****?!
So for all of you Canucks who bought from the US, did you get this BS?
Oh, and the guy told me my car is not part of the airbag sensor recall. Like, really? That's funny, because I'm pretty sure the light doesn't come on when nobody is sitting there when it should be.

of course you don't deserve a Loaner Car! Loaner cars SHOULD BE for customers who bought their cars from that particular dealership. Period!
Psyh, I don't know if your problem is solved by now, but Alta infiniti is much better, as long as they realize you're taking your car for paid services as well as warranty they treat you good and they give you a loaner when you have an appointment.
BTW. Infiniti and Nissan has increased their base prices by $1,000 (i guess due to the FX changes), some stupid move when they can't even sell at their original price!!!

less demand, less supply/production slows down, price goes up little bit as USD going up too.
How's that a great move? The supply hasn't gone down since they haven't reduced their inventory!
This is just a marketing stunt to fool the buyers in the perception that they are getting a higher discount, but any inform buyer will see through it.

Some stupid *** scratched the paint off the passenger side of my rear bumper while I was at work. This was only five weeks after I got it brand new!!! The ***** didn't even leave a note or anything... it was a scratch and run! Luckily there wasn't any structural damage (amazing considering the paint was damaged AROUND the whole corner of the rear bumper!). Cost me 550$ to get it sanded half way and re-painted. They did a great job though, looks perfect now (thank god!). People are just so friggin' careless when it's not their stuff at risk!
Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that, and you have a white car too so it totally shows! I'm glad it's fixed. But yeah, I'm super paranoid about my car. At work, I find like the most secluded parking spots, I don't care if it takes me longer. My old G, like 3 weeks before the lease was due, had the passenger front bumper scratched in the same way!!! Cost me $390 to repaint, but luckily when I returned it, there were no problems. Man, I love great cars, but they make me worry so much whenever I go and park anywhere.
Just stumbled upon this thread.
So what's the situation now?
For my previous issue (https://www.myg37.com/forums/canada/...illowdale.html), I was going to take my car to Markham Infiniti to fix my check engine light, but my mechanic was able to find the problem (one of the emission related wires was loose just under the engine cover).
What plastic dash problem are you having?
I just did a roadtrip to Tremblant in December, and now the leather seat bubble has gotten worse. Damn leather, this is bull****!

Current status is:
Still no loaner car. Apparently the Service Loan Car Program is not part of the manufacturer warranty, but a perk that individual dealerships offer to their customers at their discretion (it's stated unclearly on page 47 of your Warranty Information Booklet).
The Passenger Air Bag Off light is suppose to be unlit when:
• it is not occupied
• it is occupied by an adult
^^^ This sounds counter-intuitive to me, but I guess that's how it works. It can be found on page 1-47 of your owners manual. This has nothing to do with the air bag sensor recall.
So the lesson is, RTFM very carefully.

have you taken the car in for the leather issue yet ? i have once already and they replaced the foam underneath, not the leather. but its getting worse now.
im gonna take it back in feb when im due for an oil change.
keep in mind, all manufacturers need certain cost to run the production, as the demand decreased dramatically and automation technologies keep improving more efficient than before. Supply (production shutdowns) lower with excess inventory. Yes they haven't reduced their inventory yet, but going to, with shutdowns. Price must be increased from the manufacturers & OEM suppliers in order to keep themselves survive. They need to keep the profit margin and revenue (%wise) even volume goes down. Interest rate is another issue.
Theoratically what you're saying maybe true in the long run and for mass-producing low-cost products when the cost of production is mostly variable and shutdowns result in savings, but not for car manufacturers that have high fixed costs and fixed labour costs with unions which doesn't allow such short term shutdowns. At this moment the best car manufacturers can do is to sell the cars even they have to forefit profit for as long as they can cover their variable cost of production.
