And so it begins
Turned into a fun little thread, look forward to those pics Chris, should be quite a dramatic change
I think I am gonna jump on the Akebono band wagon as well. Where are you guys purchasing your kits? I am probably just going to go with stock rotors, ss lines and maybe some nicer pads, unless the stock rotors are also prone to being warped as quickly as the xS rotors.
I agree that it certainly isn't the fastest or best handling car in the world, but it's all relative, right? Boost controllers have broken more engines than anything else, because people get used to a certain speed, then up the boost to make it faster. Even a Civic is a noticeable step up from a Camry, so I can see why it would make people nervous.
We're all used to the G, I'm always pleased when I've been away on business in a rental car for a while. I get back home and turn the car on, and it's the same feeling I got the first time I started her up after installing the exhaust. I wish I could bottle that feeling, it's just the best.

here's a teaser picture of his only one custom made duckbill trunk... it was dark out but as I mentioned it's a teaser

Okay, I feel almost human again. That was a longer drive than I thought (or I'm just getting old), working out with a pro strongman the day before I left was not the best idea I've ever had either... Here are a couple quick pics using the phone.
Before - No complaints

After - No complaints but I like it a little more. Still have some work to do, bumper plugs until I decide if I really want a new nose and which one. Good wash and polish etc.

I think it's a bit of a difference, glad I didn't go darker with the rear lenses though I originally was thinking to do so. Lost one of the caps for my license plate cover, need to get that replaced and also need to find the new stickers...

Everyone has seen the GT-R starter buttons so I won't post that. I picked up a set of the zeetoyz caps and covers (thanks Rochester). I'm not certain that I like the logo on all of them, it's very well done and what I asked for but I think it might be a little too much when they're all on. I'm thinking to have the caps redone in black chrome which should quiet the logos down but I don't know, for now they're fine.

I have to go back to the powder coating shop and pick up my rims. They did mine in white and gave them to a different customer. Not the best first impression when doing business but, it is what it is. Here's the before

I'll post installed pics once I decide on tires and get them on the car. Debating whether to pick up another set and run squared. Feel like it would be a good idea but we'll see.

I looked at them real hard when I was debating getting a new car. Definitely something to be said for all that torque. Last year I was considering buying a 3rd gen RX-7 as a project car. If it's still there when I buy a house here in TN I may go ahead and pick it up. I keep telling myself that I won't but...
You're welcome. I haven't been on that site in years. Forgot about those fluid bin caps. Hmm. What am I looking at... a new line of caps? Because they aren't on the ZeeToyz website.
I agree with your initial impression... two many logos going on. You've got one big one on the engine cover. That's all the engine bay needs, IMO. Of them all, the only one I'm liking the logo on is the dipstick cover. That might be a keeper. If not, then just turn it around.
That washer fluid cap... how'd you do that? That's not the OEM cap painted gloss black; at least, it's not the G37 cap. It's close, but the retainer is different. The logo looks laser-etched. I'm confused.
