*restoring* can be a huge pain. Rat rod modding - IE, engineering things to make them work the way you want - that's much easier than a resto. Like moving the brakes to the wheels (on most older Jags they're at the differential in the rear) - there's kits. And you can adapt other hardware - Corvettes are good donor choices. GM EFI hardware and megasquirt DIY ECU goes far (the original use case for the 'squirt was a V12 XJS)
I need to go by the local dealer with a 350Z again and see if it's stick. On their lot for 6 months now at 9k, hasn't even been moved in the lot.
I've got vacation time getting perilously close to the user-it-or-lose-it stage, so I took the day off and washed my car. First wash of the season, too. Then I took my daughter and her boyfriend to this Irish Pub along the Erie Canal. We had wings and Guinness, and shot darts for about 2 hours. Bought her two nice sets for Xmas, one steel-tip and one soft-tip. She's getting pretty good, beats me half the time now.
Anyway, here's a shot of my car from the second floor. It's the perfect parking spot, relatively safe with my eyes on it the whole afternoon. Paranoid much?
I mean, I know wrap wasn't even your 2nd choice, but from the pics it looks damn good.
Yeah, color me shocked, too. I was only half-heartedly looking at the wrap in order to get an idea of what it could look like. It was only $10.
So where I am with this project is this: if it holds up as-is, then I'm done. If it doesn't hold up, or if I decide over winter that I need a project, I'll take it to my powder-coater.
Wrapping the bar was relatively easy, because the shape of the bar itself is straight forward. For good measure, on the underside I ran a length of black duct tape over the wrap-around.

Wash the car, Irish Pub with Wings and Beer with the daughter, then Darts, sounds a bit utopian to me.
For good darts, look no further than the Brits and Scots as they take this craft very seriously.
I just purchased a couple of sets from Red Dragon (with some replacement shafts and flights):
Nice. What weight? Those designs are cool, but I'd be wary of a tip getting deflected against those barrels. Then again, I base that opinion on absolutely nothing whatsoever, LOL.
The bristle board is in the garage, and the soft-tip board is in the basement. On the next house I'm going to prioritize getting a steel-tip dart area on the main floor.

@Rochester The wrap looks good! I have used some of the VVivid on interior bits on my Pathfinder and it looks nice. Is that CF wrap on the rear trim in the bay?

Yep, good eye. For the most part, I'm not a fan of CF (wrap or real), but I thought it would look good there.

I did a lot of research on what weight to buy and ended up at 24g as the best tradeoff.
My setup with the officially measured “oche” (pronounced like hockey) is in the garage between both cars.
Yes, before everyone yells at me, I know this is not ideal, but it works for me today given the limited amount of time I have available to pitch darts.
