I'm running 255/40/19 and 285/35/19 with a stock setup. I feel like the ride is smoother and i grip better due to the increase in surface area of the tire in contact with the road. However, the downsize is that the tires are wider so they are a little soft in the sidewalls so that introduces a bit of "roll" on sharp turns. As far as looks....no contest in my opinion. Looking at it from the rear with the 285's is a view to behold. lol.

Arent 285's a little wide for the oem 19s? I would like to see pics at a few different angles if possible. I am sure there is plenty of curiosity around the OP's question, as well as your setup.

I'm thinking of going 245s and 275s as well. I think TVPostSound did the same deal with the set up your looking for at this thread.

I'm thinking of getting wider tires, but I think with the drop that I have I might be SOL.

My setup is:

I run 19 x 8.5 35 and 19 x 9.5 40 Avant Garde M310 wheels with...

245/40/19 and 275/35/19 Hankook V12 tires.

I'm doing these numbers off the top of my head but i'm pretty sure thats what it all is.

RUnning on stock suspension (no drop) and I love the look, feel, drive, etc... Best mod for the car.

I'll check later tonight when I get home to make sure those numbers are correct.

The 245/40/19 & 275/35/19 size would be a perfect size to upgrade to if you are looking to go a little wider.

Here are some numbers/specs when comparing the stock tire size to the new tire sizes:

OEM SIZE: 225/45/19
Overall Diameter - 26.97 inches
Sidewall Height - 3.99 inches
Revs per Mile - 771.16/mi

NEW SIZE: 245/40/19
Overall Diameter - 26.72 inches
Sidewall Height - 3.86 inches
Revs per Mile - 778.54/mi

OEM SIZE: 245/40/19
Overall Diameter - 26.72 inches
Sidewall Height - 3.86 inches
Revs per Mile - 778.54/mi

NEW SIZE: 275/35/19
Overall Diameter - 26.58 inches
Sidewall Height - 3.79 inches
Revs per Mile - 782.58/mi

Hope that helps!

OP, you won't need spacers unless you want your OEM wheels sit closer to the fenders.

Cool

Are you saying that that the diameters will be smaller on the bigger tires? Is that right?

Yes, diameter is smaller, width is larger.
