GT-R Wheels on G37 coupe

Just wondering if someone has done this and what their experience has been. I am presently on 255-35-19 (rear) on stock wheels and I have major traction issues. I can only go to 275 on stock wheels and I don't think that is enough. I have an opportunity to snag some GT-R wheels, but I have some concerns going to 20's as this will move my rear end ratio in the wrong direction. I make big power after 3K rpm, so I like to get up there fast. Moving to a 305-35-20 will change my ratio (from current) by 8.6%. I could go to a 30 profile and the variance drops to 4.4%, but am concerned that the very narrow sidewall could be make for a harsh ride. Also concerned that the 20's will make my car 1/2" higher

Suggestions?

Might consider these 370z wheels, lightweight and wide

Have you considered drag radials like the Toyo R888
they have them in 265/35/19 front 295 or 30530/19 rear
The 265/305 combo would put you just under 2% smaller than OEM (the 305s being the smallest diameter of the two).
Here's the z wheel specs, and the Nismos are even wider

The GTR rims have similar offsets but only in 20s, both the Z & GTR rims you'd probably want spacers in front.

Good suggestions... thanks. the major problem would be shipping from SoCal to Canada. The drag radials are a cool idea... thanks for that idea as I hadn't really considered it.

Those would be extremely wide for the stock wheels, at only 9 inches wide. 275 is the widest you should go for that kind of width. For 295 and 305 you need at least a 10.5 inch wheel for a safe mount.
