I like the 255/35 all around. Think that'll work? Could member Ryne chime in if possible?

His is a coupe so he'll have more fender clearance, you may have to run some extra camber, but maybe he can give you further details.

 

my case: 2012 G37xS Sedan AWD

Looking to buy wheels very very very soon. My main question is, at what wheel or tire width will I start rubbing either in the front or rear? I am dropping it with the eibach 6399.140 G35x sedan setup this weekend. End result I would like a concaved wheel such as the Niche Misano M116 that I have been considering but noticed a massive difference between the 20x9 and 20x10 concave(ness). Clearly I know I can fit the 20x9 but wondering if 20x10 will fit as long as I keep the tire 255/35/20. Also I want close to stock camber, I dont want excessive wear on my tires and therefore I will not consider tucking the tires with negative camber.

 

Depending on the offset, you should be fine with 20x10 on a 255 tire. Someone fit a 19x10 +40 on a 255 on all 4 corners with minimal camber and I don't believe it rubs. See post below.


With camber under -2 degrees I don't believe you'll see any excessive wear.

offset of the Niche wheels i'm looking at are 40mm offset. any idea for that offset? stock for my car is 45mm front and 50mm rear

 

With the extra 5mm sticking out you may start to get some rubbing, but I'm not sure. See if you can search around and find someone with a similar setup. I imagine you can fix that with just a hair more camber, nothing that will affect your tire wear subsantially.

 

I'm sorry the wheels i'm looking at have 40mm offset for 20x10, the 20x9 are 35mm.

 

That should be fine. Those are pretty common specs for the sedan.

 

So to just make things easier. I should deal with the less concaved wheel with the 20x9 35mm offset and run a 245/35/20 tire to keep (out of stock range) camber and wheel rub out of the picture?

I have 2011 G37X on stock 17. Planning to upgrade to 18s for the summer. What kind of offset do I want to run for nice flush factory look for 8s or 8.5? Probably gonna run 235/40 or 245/40 if 8.5
Car will probably never be lowered since I live in a frozen wasteland and outside of city.

I usually run Hankook v12s for my stretching needs but I can't find 225/35/20 size anywhere for some reason....


My wheels are 20" 9.5 -11 and 10.5+12. I am on air and running some negative camber.


I would like to know what tire brands in sizes 225/35 and 245/35 have a similar stretch and lifespan as the hankooks in those same sizes.

Look for 8.5 +30 to +35 for a nice fit at the fender and 245/45/18 is the tire size you should run to keep your diameter closer to OEM size, the 245/40 will be almost an inch shorter and almost 4% off from OEM.

 

I have 245/35/20 mounted on 20x8.5 +24 in the front will my new BBK fit?
Rear I have 285/30/20 mounted on 20x10.5 +45. I assume they fit in the rear easily. Please advise.

 

Depends on the spoke depth and if you're running a deep lip type wheel.
Typically that offset on an 8.5 should clear but there's exceptions for sure.
