The OFFICIAL "I have a wheel offset / tire fitment question!" thread
Ok so I have 19x9.5 +25 with 245/40/19 (PSS) (already on the wheels) for the front. I have 19x10.5 +22 for the rear what tire size is better 285/35 or 285/40? Does it matter? Lowered on eibach springs. Getting pilot super sports for the rears as well.
285/40 is going to be a very tall tire and probably too much variance between the 245/40 you have up front. 285/35 would definitely be the better fit.
Will 245/40 and 285/35 work or should it be 245/40 and 275/35? I always see them paired as 245/275 255/285 so not sure. ALSO, would I be able to do spirited driving/back roads win 285 or would they rub a lot?

Width wise, 245/275 or 255/285 or 245/285 all depends on how much of a stretch you want or don't want. But diameter wise, you want to keep it as close as possible. Use the tire/rim calculator tool to see how much of a difference they will be between each other.
I really like the 255/40 and 285/35 setup. That's what I'll be going with when my tires are done.
Hey all,
I have my 09 G37XS sedan. Going to lower on D2 coils and use the SBC camber kit front and rear. I'm getting some wheels soon and need a tire size.
20x9 +20 front
20x10.5 + 25 rear
Thanks to all in advance.

Those are some pretty aggressive specs for a sedan. Standard sizes for that width would be 245/35 front and 275/30 or 285/30 rear, but with those specs you might need to stretch to get them to fit.
They're coming off a GTR. Not the OEMs. I've seen these 10.5 all around with no issues and same offset.
not sure if I can help you there then cause I wouldn't know what to do with something that aggressive on my sedan
Maybe check the low offset/hellaflush thread?
Will do. Thanks though. Once I get it all set up I'll take a pic and show you the end result.
Bad part about that GTR setup is you're going to have to run a stretch tire in back (which means you'll also have to run stretch in front) so keeping your rolling diameter under 1% for your AWD compatibility gets a bit trickier. You could run something like a 225/40 255/35 combo. You can make it work but you'll have to be creative. You could also run the same 255s all around, member Ryne has a setup similar, with staggered wheels but the same tire size all around on his AWD and appears to have no issues, so there's a couple ways you can go.
G/L and look forward to pics.
