ITB12-027 7AT Fix
Totally different car after this update. I spoke with the tech when I picked it up and he noted that there was also an ECU update completed as well. The delay is gone, shifts much faster/cleaner!!!
After the TCM/ECM update.
I had the line pressures raised during my UpRev tune.
Nice firm fast shifts now!!
I have an 09 sedan, I ended up fixing it as the dealership said they could not reproduce the noise. Put some felt between the dash and windshield and took care of it, literally took me 5min.
Got this done on my 09 G37x Coupe today and it was covered by warranty. ITB12-027c. They also did an ECM flash while they were at it. I felt the difference as soon as I started the car. It was a lot quieter and smoother on start up and while driving. Hesitation/lag is almost non-existent and throttle response is a lot sharper even in D mode. The harsh downshift when about to stop is also gone. Great update!
I have been waiting for this fix since last October. For a while I stopped checking for new updates because it just got depressing. Finally, I noticed the TSB and immediately got the TCM+ECM reprogramming done. The car is responsive and shifting quickly as it did right after I bought it. I haven't tried sport mode yet, but it sounds like the modes got updated differently.
I wanted to verify the reprogramming based on the pre- and post-flash ECM and TCM part numbers, but the service guys didn't print the Consult III screen. Oh well.
Anyway, I should give credit to Frontier Infiniti in south SF bay for acknowledging the problem well before this TSB was out, contacting Infiniti (who verified that the problem existed and was being addressed) and communicating the details of my complaint to them. The second and third bullet points in the TSB listing the conditions read just like my original complaint to the dealer.
FYI -- The TSB document is posted on this site. It is ITB12-027c.
Thanks, Infiniti... it's about time!

I had this done this past weekend. After a few days of driving, the transmission is MUCH MUCH smoother. But on the other side, the smoothness takes away from some of the sportiness of the car.
However, put it in DS mode and the sportiness is back.

Just had it done today. Accel is smoother and quick, decel has no lag.
First time went to my dealer in 3 years, my G37X sedan has only 9600 miles.
I also qualified for the ITB10-010C and get a new ,more power battery.
pick a good day to go, only few people at the dealer, had it done in hour and a half.

I went to the dealership today with the 12-027c bulletin printed. My car has the well-known lag/hesitation and weird shifting patterns. The service rep gave me the run around and said my G had the latest updates applied. I had done the 10-075 update a couple of months ago. Any suggestions as to how to "force" them to apply it? Is it even possible if it's not showing up on their screen?

They need to scan the car with BOTH the Consult III, and Consult III+ cables.
Whats the updated ECU ROM #? It should be on the work order when 075 was done. If that number is listed on the 027 bulletin, it needs to be updated.
