yeah, but LED DLPs have a problem resolving true color. They have a lot to weed out with that technology before I buy into it. I was doing research on it for the longest. The LED DLPs claime up to 10k contrast ratio but really never reach it. They flood out in light quicker than a bulb will just due to the fact they cant output enough light.

For longevity and deep blacks though, they may be your best bet, but you are mistaken about LCD's. They have been used for years and years to come and last just as long.

Rule of thumb, it may not always be the wisest to buy the first of newer technology.

All I know is that it looks good whenever I watch it. Yeah the technology is newer and it might break and it might not.

But overall so far I am very impressed and I am glad that your not buying into...it will keep my stock afloat

^Nice TV...and also you gotta love those 3 HDMI's. Mine has the same amount plus bluetooth capability.

All 3 HDMI ports are takens up: Satellite, PS3 and DVD and I must say it is a beautiful thing and also wonderful sound.

 

PS3, 360 elite, Wii, FIOS. All hi def ports gone. Logitech smart remote. Lovin it
