Ultimate NGC Video Game Console Thread. Playstation 3/Xbox Live/Video Game Discussion
the darkness is a very unique experience that defies fps conventions, you play like a vampire, and heals your power when you're in darkness. its sort of the opposite of Gears of War's mechanics. its a single player centric game, and i consider it to be amongst the elite in terms of fps on the xbox360.
I think the ps3 version should be the one to get for this game though because xbox live dosnt really matter for this game.

good call. At this point, the ps3 games to get that are cross platform are the ones that dont utilize online play well or at all. Is The Darkness avail on ps3 now or is there a delay as usual? I just put down my deposit for Heavenly Sword last week. They say sept 5th but im sure that will get pushed back yet again.

$200 less, and you get BluRay, Wireless, 60GB instead of 20GB HD etc. Sounds like a deal to me.

Both Microsoft and Sony are trying to market the all-in-one concept but not many people who buy these machines are buying it for that. They're buying it to play next-gen games. Sony is looking ahead, but they're paying the price for it now.
I'll agree on the hard drive aspect, however you really don't need that much space (60+) if all you can really do is put demo's/dl vids on your box. If you were storing games directly to the HD that'd be a different matter all together. I'd think 40gb is more than enough otherwise.
I don't use wireless for gaming, its all wired. Less problems.
So for me, NO its not a good deal.
But to each his/her own...
