Speedventures is hosting a track day at California Speedway in Fontana on Sat August 15 & Sun August 16. I will be there on Sunday. Hope to see some G37's there! You can sign up for track or autocross at Speedventures.com
I cant wait to see how the new oil and transmission cooler work out on the track...should be hot as F%$k that day too.

This is a "legit" weekend hosted by Speed Ventures ... I spent this weekend at Auto Club Speedway (Cal Speedway) with a NASA hosted event. First time out in the G37S Coupe ('08) ... completed seven sessions. It was a blast and quickly became my favorite track (others I regularly visit include WillowSprings (Big Willow) and Buttonwillow.
However, can anyone fill me in on what Nissan has done with the California-spec Infiniti. For the seven sessions across two days in different conditions, and approaching the oval from out of the infield complex at different speeds, there was no way the coupe would go past 125 mph - does the ECM here in Cal limit top speed and how do I fix? Or is the basic aero design / CD so poor as the car (with this good an engine) cannot push past 125? Any experiences / thoughts?
It's a ral shame if a car like this cannot enjoy track days and I will have to part with it if this cannot be fixed.
Many thanks ...

My tires were pretty shot so I only ran two sessions. It was probably about 80 degrees. No limp mode with the oil cooler. I will post up when I do a full track day in the heat.
