Just picked up G37S sedan 6spd.- anyone else in WI?

Hola! So I spent the better part of 3 months trying to find a clean G37S sedan 6spd. with low mileage. Finally found a clean '13 with roughly 18,000 miles in Moonlight white.

I have been around/worked on/raced cars at track days most of my life. I used to be big into Subarus and am still one of the first members on nasioc. I had a '98 2.5RS, '02 WRX, '09 STI, '11 370Z, '05 M3, and '14 Evo.

I must be getting old because the G37 seats are way easier to get into than the Recaros in my Evo and the ride is much smoother... for now.

I just installed a Stillen cat back exhaust and Z1 stainless brake lines. So far so good. So I have a stock exhaust if anyone needs parts. (Not sure if I can post in the for sale section yet since I am new)

Here are some pics of it the day I picked it up bone stock. (I promise I will post more pics as it becomes more interesting with mods)

That's rare find you have. Congrats and welcome! Not too many folks from Wisco around here. I'm from Madison and used to own a 6MT coupe but traded that in for an M37. I grew up in the Appleton area and still have family there.

You may get a better response in the Sedan subforum as this one is pretty quiet altogether.

I think you need like 100 posts before you can post in the classifieds.

Your pics aren't working either :/

Yes, the sedan forum seems to be fairly active. The pics are working ok on my computer. I had a bad feeling this might be a small group of enthusiasts as Infiniti must sell about 99% of these sedans in an A/T to non-enthusiasts.

Anyone going to Road America today for the Vintage Races? I am going to do the Touring event at noon to see if I can find any other obvious upgrade needs to the car before I do a real track day. The G will have white Bergstrom plates with the big blue "B" on them. Come say "hi" if you are there today.

Nice! Were you the one out doing touring? I was planning to do it, but we got there late due to my wife "needing" to stop at Starbucks.

Shoot me a pm if you are ever up in the Appleton area. I started a build thread and the car is coming along nicely.

Yep, had a nice dog fight going with a Black M3. Did you take any pics? My buddies were out there in a yellow Z06 and a Blue Mazda 6 Hatch.

A dog fight during a touring event? Did they give the speech about only going 55mph and how there are cameras all over the track so they will kick you out, blah, blah, blah? Sorry, I did not get any pics.

I've done a few of these Tours, and although the talk about 55mph as the cap, in most cases you'll hit 100. Add in the fact that most cars won't be able to go faster than 55 in a lot of the turns. The pace is set by the pace car and varies based on the group. I've been in one where I didn't get over 80, and another where 110 was the top
Speed.

I know what you mean. It seems like usually you are over 100 pretty easily. A number of years ago I was there with a lightly tuned WRX. An STI with 600hp was behind me. The guy driving the pace truck had just done One Lap of America in an STI and told us to have fun as long as we didn't get too carried away. I figured after we lapped the pace truck the 3rd time we should probably slow down a bit

I just got the Road America 2016 schedule in the mail yesterday and I am pretty excited. Only 5 months until the Spring Vintage races. Anyone else going to any events at Road America this season?
