Help SERVICE ISSUE - Stillen Long Pipe Air Intake
hi guys
I just had my SERVICE ENGINE SOON light come on (no performance issues). I had my dual STILLEN LONG PIPE Air intake (THIS ONE) on for almost a year now. Nothing has changed
SO they took the car in - scanned it and said its mis-firing , Mass airflow sensor issue. They also said they did a little "fix" with an added little pipe (i gotta see this) - so they will now RE-LEARN the computer and see if the error code comes back up. But if it does - its too bad cause of my intake.
ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE! its costing me $200 after 2 tests
I am picking it up soon and getting the error codes to post here as well.

Is there a DYI on this? Am i spraying the MAF sensor (which i slid into the new air intake) or the actually part on the car? sorry i just don't wanna screw this up any more.
I contacted STILLEN - they send me this:
NEW INTAKE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FIX
If you’ve installed a new intake kit and soon afterwards the check engine light comes on the mass air flow sensor (MAF) may be dirty or there may be a vacuum leak at one of the couplers.
1. Make sure all of the worm clamps are tight.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove the MAF sensor.
4. Clean the sensor with electronics cleaner or 90% rubbing alcohol.
5. Allow the MAF sensor to dry.
6. Reinstall the MAF sensor.
7. Reconnect the battery.
8. If the check engine light is still on, you may need to have it reset by a shop or the dealer.
Note: In extreme cases you may need to clean the K & N filter as it was over oiled. When you re-oil the filter, be sure to not over oil it.

Well the car is awesome! problem was a cut in one of the vacuum lines off the side of the intake (they replaced it for free - since they had one). Also i paid them to re-program the computer to the new air/flow mixture which the Stillen intake is bringing in. All is good now
