Uber n00b

I'd like to start off by saying I hope you guys can have some patience with me, because my mechanical knowledge starts and ends with knowing where the gas tank is.

I have the 2008 G37 Sport. I'm hoping I can get some questions answered.

I've read this thread https://www.myg37.com/forums/newbie-...rformance.html
Now I can't really do much with it. I'm roughly in the 1k range and was hoping I could get some specific answers like brand and whatever else I'd need to know for searching. I'm mainly interested in the intake and test pipes. I did a little research in the past and came up with this, but something came up and I didn't have the chance to order them. I was wondering if I was in the ballpark for what I should be looking for.

Problems-
Should I be posting these in the G37 coupe specific section?

1. My front brakes screech when I back up and turn the wheel. The first place I took it to said everything looked fine and I should keep running it until it gets worse. The problem is the noise could not be worse at this point. I took it to another place, they did something that fixed it for two days but now might be worse than it ever was. He said I'll have to look into a different type of brake if what he did didn't work.

2. There's a rattle in my muffler. The muffler itself is very expensive so I looked into a full exhaust system. Again, would this be something that would be in my best interest to get?

Welcome to the site, nice coupe you have there.
I'd consider the Takeda Cold Air Intake, gets good reviews and has a nice look from behind the grill.
Test pipes can get pretty raspy when combined w/ catback exhausts, might consider Resonated High Flow Cats instead.
Not much feedback on teh Borlas but they're a good company so I'd expect decent results. Might google that one "Borla catback G37Coupe" and see what pops up.
You can also look into a more basic axle back if you just want to replace the mufflers, quite a few to choose from. I'd look at the coupe & exhaust folders for more info.
G/L, sounds like the mod bug is ready to attack

1. May want to check your parking brake. May need adjustment.
2. I personally prefer Invidia for an exhaust.

Very nice ! I'd so go with an axleback it's alot cheaper obvi than a CBE. Look into invidia! Decent exhaust at a decent price. Throw a nice CAI and you're good.

Your car looks wonderful. We're in the same boat as far as mechanical knowledge, but we should be in good hands here.
