Best upgrades to do?

Hello,

I'm new here, just recently bought a 2012 g37x sedan that is silver with about 24k miles on it. I am starting to look at modifications that I can add to it to make it both more pleasing to the eye, and to improve performance. Thinking about a new air intake possibly, and I might buy new rims next spring to have for the summer. Do you have any suggestions as to what types of things that I can add first? I'm not looking to spend 10k on mods, but I would like to improve it some.

Aftermarket swaybars. The answer to this question is always swaybars.

Is there a large noticeable difference in handling with better swaybars?

Yes. Particularly if you have 3-season tires.

Get yourself some sways... doesn't matter the brand.

I'll have to start researching some quality sways. Any other mods that you find nice to have?

  • sways for handling.
  • tires for handling and launch.
  • cats for HP & sound, in that order.
  • catback for sound & HP, in that order.
  • intake for sound.
  • long-tube intake for sound & HP.
  • Tune for HP, when you're done.

In other words, the basics. Welcome to the forum.

i find the S Sedan suspension an amazing balance between comfort and performance.
drive it and drive it hard, perform maintenance, and upgrade the wear items

Nissan Ester Oil makes a difference.
Diff bushing will likely go.
Radar Detector (not to speed, but to remove yourself from the pool of random cop targets since our cars look a bit sporty)
Driving Cam

more wear items:
brake pads, tires, other fluids, interior

and for performance, i've learned that the ultimate upgrade is improving the gasket.
the one between the driver's seat and the steering wheel.

A common and simple route is going with Swift Springs ( a nice performance springs with a tiny drop) and the Ark performance catback exhaust! It's also easy on the wallet!
