I may have just really lucked out, I found this for 149, 160 or so out the door on eBay. 2011 G37 COUPE AUTO TRANS COMPUTER BODY CONTROL MODULE UNIT IMMOBILIZER BCM J2 It actually comes with everything and a key which would make my life so much easier. (In theory) The locksmith I had come out was going to charge 225 for the first key and 125 for a duplicate for the G37 but he wasn't able to. I had an Infiniti dealer (Lake Norman) charge 460 for a new key and duplicate due to a bad key fob on a 2007 M56. I guess we will see what happens when it comes June 1 thru June 4. Will keep you guys updated. Thank Again!

I saw that listing. In theory, you should be able to plug everything in and start the car right up. "Fingers crossed."

Well, my luck hit a wall. I was lucky and got my parts in yesterday but I had to know and replaced the BCM first just to see if it worked and it did not. There was no blinking key slot or prompt to insert key, or flashing security light. I went ahead and replaced the ECU and key slot with the key that came with it and there was no change. I put my other car's BCM back in and it still works. My question is now, what does it actually take to replace to make the car start with a matching key? Since I know my other car can start, what can I use from it to make the 2011 start-up (hopefully)?

Update, the car is running and driving. I replaced the BCM and ECU from the 2010 into the 2011 and with the matching key it started right away. Very happy! Thank you all again for your help! I'll probably be back to the forums for more advice after replacing the cosmetic parts from the accident. It came with a Stillen cold air intake and exhaust so I'll probably try and do some type of etune using ecuteck.

Thank you again! Especially ILM-NC G37S!

So, the 2011 eBay parts did not work, but the parts from your 2010, did work? Interesting...

Next step is to see if the 2011 eBay parts work in your 2010.

Either way, glad you are making progress and have the 2011 up and running.

Thanks for the update...

That's actually a great idea, I will do that tomorrow. I don't like the idea of leaving those contacts on those connectors exposed like that. I don't have a lot of faith in the BCM and I was thinking of keeping the parts just in case but I do still need to buy another parts car in the next few months so I don't think it will be worth it if the BCM doesn't work.
