Hi-beam not working

So my 09 G37 coupe has bi-xenons with no AFS. I just installed my modified housings with TSX lenses/modified shields. The cutoff looks good, I have nice purple banding and crisp cut off line.

The problem is that for some reason I lost the ability to use my hi-beams. I hit the hi-beams and the blue light comes on the dash but the HID doesn't flip up and I get no change in the beam pattern. I'm pretty sure I reconnected everything to the solenoid correctly as I depressed it manually to make sure it traveled freely before reassembling the light.

Any ideas on what is wrong? It doesn't work in either side headlight.

i know i know!

there's a plug that's inside the housing you might of forgot to plug back in lol. it sit's right above or below the projector inside. you are able to reach it with the headlights off the car and if you have small hands.

Hmm I doubt it's a fuse because everything else on the light works, and there is one main power source to the headlight housing then the wire harness sends out the individual plugs to lights etc. I would expect the fuse to lose power to all the lights since they have a single source. Everything works fine but the hibeams.

Thanks Weiboy, I'll check that. I'm pretty sure I connected it. You're talking about the two red wires that are attached to the solenoid and have a gray clip? They come out from underneath the projector and plug into the green/black wire? See pic.

yes sir! that's what i'm talking about. it's probably that cuz that's the only connection for your high beams.

if you messed up your projectors don't worry! i have SPARE ones lol

Thanks Weiboy! I do indeed thinnk thats my problem because I took my unmodded lights out of my closet and looked at them and just like in the picture, the grey clip with red plugs is attached to this metal piece on the bottom of the projector. Well... I plugged the male piece into that grey clip but I definitely DIDN'T put the grey piece back on to that metal attachment on the bottom of the projector DOH!

Hopefully I can push them on without pulling the lights, it'd be a lot easier to do through the wheel well bc our bumpers are a PITA to remove.

Definitely worth the upgrade. Super sharp now. The wider out you go the bluer the cut off gets. Outisde of the middle 45 degrees it has a nice purple cutoff that flickers like crazy

it will be a lot easier to plug it back in with the headlights removed but of course give it a try through the wheel well first. i hope it solves your problem.

Headlight has a ton of pitting. I'm going to hit it with PlastX and some polish this weekend. If that doesn't get rid of it I'll wet sand.

Chose not to do the LED mod but I left the inner shroud clear so light shines through giving the iron man "effect" without LEDs.

after you wet sand be sure to buff it with 3m rubbing compound to remove those marks left from wet sanding.
