In doing some of my own research I decided to change out the factory fill at 3,500 miles just to be cautious since this is a turbocharged motor. I will likely do the second oil change when the car hits between 6,500-7,5000 miles. Subaru was recommending a 7500 OCI with their synthetic oil, but they have revised that figure to a 6,500 OCI for the 2015 model year.

If you're going with a good synthetic oil like Pennzoil Plat/Ultra or Mobil 1 you should be fine to run extended OCIs and change a couple of times a year.
Off topic, but Subaru is all over the map with OCI on turbo motors. I think they revise them nearly every year. FWIW, my turbo Subaru drank M1 like a drunken sailor.

It really is an amazing thing. Looks like termite damage.

My guess is 50/50 whether that gets repaired, considering his lowered priority on the car's appearance. What's the skinny on that, Telcoman? That's not a warranty service, so you might not get doughnuts out of the deal.

Love bugs and the death of paint also. Glad I dont live there anymore and just visit. I had a fresh car wash bucket ready everyday. Back to my oil change. Im going to change it this week or next with some Mobil 1 0w40 and Mobil oil filter. I wont have to change it for awhile then.

Zero chance!

It kind of sucks but I hit some debris in the road on a dark rainy night at about 70 MPH on The Garden State Parkway.
May have been parts of a tire?
No donuts for this.
Upsetting but not enough to make me spend money on repairing it.

It is after all, only a car.
A car that depreciates in value just like most other cars.
I may end up getting a good price for it when I decide to sell it as 6sp manuals are becoming hard to find.
12 oil and filter changes thus far and my engine has never seen over 5k RPM
Gets excellent MPG
