2010 Nav system differences vs. 2007-2009
I have time to do a comparo just in case some people are still on the fence with a 2009 or jump into a 2010.
We all know the new nav system does have differences...
Here is what I've tested and found since it's virtually the same system in the EX and FX (minus the around view monitor of course)
Pro:
-automatic download of "handset phonebook"...
everyone who complained we had to do a full "download phonebook" will be happy. also the new system will read with a computerized voice the exact name off your phonebrook from your cell phone. this is still completely seperate from the car phonebook to add voice tags but does help if you don't want to add them.
Con:
-it seems like the bluetooth software is having minor pairing issues with some phones due to it being a very updated system. if your phone has an "auto pair" function, TURN IT OFF! I spent 20 minutes resetting phones and the car just to make it work.
Pro: Bluetooth Streaming Audio
sound quality is great and Pandora from my blackberry works as well
Con: some song names won't appear and it lags when you are trying to load it (then again maybe it's b/c I have T-Mobile)
Pro: Speed limits on highways
Con: not all areas have it
Pro: voicetags for stored places for the address book

Con: gotta rename all 201 entries again
Pro: NavWeather

Con: the weather updates get annoying .... I know it's windy out you don't have to tell me there is a gale warning. duh!
Pro: Radio Presets back to FM1, FM2, AM, XM1, XM2, XM3

XM got very detailed even you can store your favorite artist/song
clarity of the screen of course is great!
Con: I liked the diverse combo of having xm and fm stations in one group
I'll add to this list... I got plenty of photos from my facebook so you're more than welcome to friend me: www.facebook.com/kennyatinfiniti

Just bought a 2011 with nav and XM weather ,the question is when a storm alert is called out and it say storm is (lets say 10 miles) away, how do you know what direction its in .This is a convertible and it would be nice to know if the tops up and your driving into the storm.
