Front end vibration 65-75mph

2010 G37x sedan. I have a front end vibration from 65-75 mph. Peak mirror vibration amplitude is at 72 mph not that it matters! A faint droning and vibration feel in the car not the steering. I would like to ask the experienced with the same problem, is it:
1. wheel bearing
2. drive shaft/CV
3. transaxle (please no!?)
4. other

The wheels/tires are not evidently the problem. Swapped them F/R and spun them and no flat spots on either.

I would check to make sure the rotors are completely flush and not off balance at all. After than just go through the simple suspension parts like ball joints and up to the end links. If it's non of those parts then possibly it may be a possible motor mount or grabby mount. When it comes to vibrations it just sucks and you have to check off the list one by one. Sorry couldn't give you exact issue.

vibrations starting at 60+ mph - 80mph usually are caused by tire/wheels and should be balanced. It is the quickest and cheapest thing to try.

I agree that is why I check that just to be sure. Being very familiar with the vibration of an out of balanced wheel, flat spotted tire or wheel, etc. I am used to a much harder suspension transmitting a driveline issue which this feels like. Its a very small amplitude vibration that make a very low droning noise. Like a trans/CV/bearing issue.

However the brake pad clips looked new so I will check the disk brake alignment which Oh My mentioned about which is excluded in the NVH trouble shooting matrix in the FSM. FAX pg 10 or FSU pg 25. RTFM!

Oh My, What is a "grabby" mount?

That is in the works tomorrow if the people (warranty) looking at it today don't find anything.

The way I have done it in my G, if your doing it solo is to make sure tires are, Facing straight and push the rotor in with one hand at 9 and the other at 3 once your certain it is flush replace caliper and tighten things down. Push again to make sure it's flush and reinstall tires. Test drive and see if there are any change. Good luck hope that's all it is.

I think mine has a similar problem. It doesn't necessarily vibrate but it makes a vibration-like noise between 60 and 80 mph. I assume thats the booming sound they're referring to. Mine is a 2012x with 53k on the odometer. I'll be taking mine in next week.

Yeah I hope so!!! I believe the booming sound was described as the sound made by lowering the rear windows at speed. Wind buffeting or oscillation.

It bothers me that someone (previous owner) didn't take my car in and have the problem checked out. Now I have to worry about trans bearings or something else going out. No telling how long they drove it like that. Maybe they didn't notice it or it never saw those speeds but I'm sure it did.
