^^ The results of this poll show overwhelmingly that Mobil 1 Synthetic is preferred by the members. 41.21% to 18.21% as the next most popular, which is Nissan's oil.

has anyone else experienced "knock" when using pennzoil platinum? I threw it in my 08' 37 on my 3rd oil change and my engine would knock every once in a while. so i changed back to just regular pennzoil and no knock... thinking about switching back to synthetic.

Did this last night. First time I changed my oil since I bought this car. First of all, screw dealerships! I was missing SEVEN bolts on my undercover! Second, the oil filter was loose, it was still a bit snug but there was leakage around the seal already. Third, this has to be the smallest oil pan I've ever seen!

Set the maintenance alert to 5250 miles, after that I'm gonna send a sample to blackstone to see how this oil holds up.

Yo man! Where can you get Eneos 5W-30 Fully Synthetic? I've only seen semi synthetic. Thanks in advance.

Bought at a Japanese department store in Hawaii called Don Quijote. AFAIK they're the only Eneos distributor in Hawaii.

Hey all, I just bought a used 09 G37x coupe. I read through some of this thread and others. I had a g35x 08 that I used mobil 1 EP in...but it seems that more people are leaning towards something else here recently (despite poll results). So is the consensus right now that it is better to use the Nissan oil on the g37? Can I get that at advanceautoparts? If that's not the best, what is? I haven't heard much about this ester oil stuff until today. I want to keep my car in perfect shape .

If you use the correct oil change interval, then it really doesn't matter what oil you use. They're all good enough. There's really no "best" oil. Go to another website and put up this same pole and you could find that nobody likes M1 there and everyone goes with *insert random oil here* because it's so awesome. If you've had good results with M1 EP in the past, keep using it. Besides, what other people like shouldn't influence your choice of oil. Not like your car will wear more because other people changed their minds about M1.

I really like the old myth that people still today claim is true...the Pennzoil causes sludge in your motor.

I used M1EP on most of my cars and it's a great oil. I had an uoa on a almost 10k mile run (on another car) and the oil held up good.

O.K. call me crazy but I recently got my first oil change at 2800 miles. Used redline 5wx30 and the motor sounds quieter, particularly at high rpms. I'm a happy camper.

Redline is the way to go. Switched from PP, I like it.

Bump question...really I'm just curious is Nissan Ester oil not typically put in the car, and would it be on Infiniti parts ? I used mobil 1 EP on my 08 and 07 but I got that 40mph shudder on both cars...I'm willing to try something OEM if it's good, to be safe (not that I am necessarily implicating the oil as the cause of the shudder). Thanks!

I use Nissan Ester Oil and see a noticeable mpg increase, it also removes any ticking noises from engine.

this poll should of been for people that change their own oil. i bet over half of the responded just take it somewhere. or almost all the mobil 1 users take it to the dealer. lmao
