I never filled up at Shell, I always use Mobil or 76. I don't think its the gas, its our car.

I don't get a full tank either. But very close, just a bar below full, fill up only to 13-15 gals when I run it to empty.

Ugh. Mine started acting up again. It stopped a little bit above half a tank last week and was very difficult to get the remaining half tank in. Today when I went to Mobil (always fill Mobile brand gas, different stations), it stopped around 3/4 tank of gas and was very tough to get the remaining 1/4 in the tank. Looks like another trip to the dealership...

Maybe people think you r funny to say that, but somehow i have to agree with you here. I always used 76/Chevron last year and never had any issue. Then I started to use Vpower only about 6 months ago. Same time in the morning and same pump at the same station. That was where i was starting to have a full tank issue in March/April.

I didnt think that much why i just couldnt get a full tank. I thought it's just the pump cos sometimes i still can get a full tank at chevron if i really need to fill up the tank. After i read your post, I was thinking "DG r you serious? but hey looks like i did have this issue after i only use shell!" So, I myself did a small test. I started to go back to 76/chevron in May til now and guess what? I havent had any pump issue over a month! OMG, you r right even tho it really sounds funny and hard to believe.

Have had same problem ... Blew compressed air through the vent port near the filler cap and problem went away for about a year. Just had it reoccur and repeated and so far so good. Don't know if it had anything to do with it or not, or just coincidence.

i had that problem but i figured it had something to do with whatever read how much gas in the tank. the gas gauge didnt fill up full and it would show empty at like 250 miles and it would take 13-15 gallons to fill up again. i went to the dealer and they replaced something and so far its back to normal

I took my car in a few months ago to get this problem looked at. Apparently, some sensor was replaced because it was reading incorrect resistance. Haven't had any issues since then.
