2012 6mt sedan steering rack help
My rack is leaking on the my 12 6mt sedan. I know these have some steering differences which I believe is only in the tie rods for quicker steering. I cant figure out what rack I need to get to replace it with. Is the base rack the same? Meaning if I get any 49001 rack it will be correct as long as I use my tie rods? Can anyone confirm this or if you happen to know the correct rack with correct tie rods I should get please let me know.
Update. So there were some threads and posts saying that all base racks are the same and the difference is the tie rods. I went down this road getting a new rack with the base part number. Seems to be incorrect as my inner rods didn't not fit, different threads. I was however able to thread my outer rods on the inners that came on the new rack. The new inners were an inch longer so I threaded my outers on an inch further to achieve the same total length

Were the inner tie rods thicker or rack?
Were you using any aftermarket parts?
