The 350 is a convertible that's been sitting in a farmer's field for ~4 years covered with a tarp. I'm considering this as a track toy only, if the body is relatively rust free. IE, I ain't expecting much. I'd rip out the interior and creature comforts to sell if there's any value left (doubt it) and it most likely would get a pair of Kirkey seats

It can only be due to the fact that my family had a VW bus when I was a kid that I think this new VW ID.Buzz is going to be cool. Not as a performance car of course, but what a cool family hauler. What do you guys think?

I love it. It's so geeky that it's actually cool. Kind of like Disney World.

Disney is amazing at a fractal level. The new star wars land... just wow. Much wow.

Car stuff: I really think the VW id.whatever series of electrics is what will change the dialog towards electric as mainstream. If they can crank out a 500-mile range ev crossover or small suv for under $45k the ICE game is just... over.

Both of my kids are in college about 80 miles away. Today's (single motor) EV's would give no margin for error on a round trip like that. Particularly in the winter months.

I have a 6 mile drive to work so I leased a 2012 Nissan Leaf when it first debuted. Perfect commuter car for me. I plugged it in once a week. Now the Leaf has about 3 times the range and it costs less. The advancement pace on electric vehicles is staggering compared to gas cars. There will come a time when range is high enough and prices are low enough that ICE cars just don't make sense anymore for most people. I think we are a ways away from that now, but it is coming.

From a performance standpoint, ICE cars are dead in the water compared to electric cars. However, electric cars have a long way to go in terms of being fun to drive, providing good feedback to the driver from an enthusiast standpoint, and rewarding all 5 senses. Sure an electric car will rip your face off in a straight line, but it is mostly silent, does not have a stick shift, hydraulic steering (most), or smell like race gas. And for those reasons, I'm out... for now.

Give me a psuedo stick shift and some StarWars Tie-Fighter or screaming R2D2 sounds and I'll start to get on board.

I saw that too. I think the Genesis G70 will live on, but it's sad to see the hatchback get cancelled. The Stinger is a great value.

I prefer a hatchback over an suv. The inf EX series was always appealing. Maybe it has something to do with what I learned to drive on - a full size conversion van with curtained windows on the sides and back. No interest in vehicles with high centers of gravity.
