What vehicle will be a worthy replacement for your sedan when it is time?

Really? Here you can get a 2013 V6 for $15k CAD, or about $12k USD.

I stand corrected. Cars.Com does list some '13/'14/'15 V6 Mustangs in the $20k~$15k price range with 34,000 or less. My first search didn't show them, I must have clicked some wrong thing.

About the same 0-60 as the G37, slightly slower in the quarter mile.

Not AWD, of course, and no navigation in any of the ones I saw listed. But still, the performance is similar.

Reliability is "average" as opposed to the "much better than average" for the '13 G37.

The only difference in purchase I will make regarding my next vehicle is I will not purchase AWD anymore, it's back to RWD for me.

Your original post pertained to reliability versus price. My response did not pertain to comparable models based on price alone. I was simply pointing out the fact that you can't compare the user experience between your car and the three other models listed. I've found examples of all three of those cars for less than $80K unless your talking new and your G isn't new so it wouldn't be a fair comparison anyway. Not sure where you coming from but it seems like your the one mixing apples and oranges

Two scenarios...


Get a newer Infiniti...Q70 5.6 or Q50 Red Sport. And fix up an old truck (95 Silverado)


Or maintain my G and buy a new truck (I still like the Silverados)


@4DRZ are you the same one from Nissanclub?


That Alfa Romeo Giulia is a nice looking car too. Looks like an Infiniti with a different front end IMO.


I've been a Nissan guy for a while. My parents still have their Stanza that they bought brand new in 91. I had a 91 Sentra in college and 2 years after graduation (6 years, 238k miles), 07 Altima 3.5SE for 8 years (186k miles before wrecked), wife had a 07 Maxima and now she has a 13 Pathfinder (momma mobile). I like them, and IMO, I haven't seen anything that gives me the entire package for the comparable price, so probably gonna stick with them. Sport Sedan and/or truck are my go tos.

If there's nothing wrong with the G I'd keep it and get a newer truck. I like the RS but i don't love it. Every time I step into my garage in the morning I look forward to firing the G up...Project truck is of no interest to me so take that for what you will. I'm more of a project car kinda guy.

I've never been much of a truck enthusiast anyways and if I ever got one it would be a beater to run back and forth for drywall or hauling/pickups. If it were me, I'd do that and do work to the G with the extra money.

Nope- different dude, but I wonder what car they had- a Maxima maybe? There is not really a 4 door Z in the Nissan world.

The Alfa Romeo Gulia Quadrifoglio is definitely a looker

I agree with you on Nissans. My family had a few of them growing up and my wife and I have been through a number of them as well- zero issues and always fun to drive.

The more I drive (and spend on ) the G the less I can see myself getting rid of it. There's really two things I could see keeping me in it for like a decade.... Grom Audio making good on their screen mirroring infotainment device, and a decisive fix for the slurry 7AT

Wow, how did I miss that. Pre-order pricing was $299, also... Now it's up to $499 which is a bit steep.

That is a cool idea to bring the nav and music up to date, but kind of pricey to not really add a lot of features.

It actually adds A LOT of features, it's full android. My only issue is the price. At $299 i'd have already ordered it this morning, but at $500.... idk.
