Definitely a Camry and an Altima. Perhaps I'm getting old...I can't even see the car in the middle.

DFS...your car looks amazing!!!

Just got the Michelin as3+ installed. 245/275 combo. First impressions is the steering isn't as quick as the Goodyear assymetrical all seasons I had on. But in sure these need to break in.

Nice collection of parts you got there, Father *******. Nice to see the RJM arrive all pre-assembled like that.

Never heard of Torque Solution before. That STS design looks a lot like the TWM that I installed a couple of months ago, right down to the re-use of the OEM cup. 1/2" drop, eh? I don't believe it. It seems every STS on the market for the G/Z drops the **** pretty deep into the boot. So good luck with that.

Adrian, those new headlights are awesome, great choice w/the housing & shrouds, and those honeycomb lenses look perfect, way to keep stepping it up!

$189! Holy cow!

Torque Solution Short Shifter: Nissan / Infintiti 350z 370z G35 G37

I paid $250 shipped for the TWM, and they look virtually identical.

Infiniti G37 Short Throw Shifter

And you're right, TWM claims a 0.5" drop, whereas Torque Solution claims a 0.25" drop.

Again, good luck with that.

On to the second part the sound in low rpms like Air escaping seems to be near the welds of the x pipe right before the 18 inch resonators. I'm not sure if that is what is referred to as rasp or not. Will need to get another ear. I'll touch base with fi and see if that is normal or if maybe it is just a bad unit. Anyone experience this?

Glad you found the source of your rattle/vibration. Many have had to remove or space out (or even bend) that small brace that goes under the mid-pipe (including me), so it is not uncommon.

I think what you are describing sounds like rasp to me. Are you running HFC's or resonated test pipes? If so, it's really tough to completely eliminate the rasp from our cars... I've gone back to the OEM CATs just for that reason. That said, it should get a bit better and less noticeable once the exhaust "breaks in". At least that's what I've found in my experience.

Gentelmen I do appreciate all the comments, its still a work in progress...and agree 10000% the red lugs are out of place....I posted a few posts back that my new lugs came in. While the gunmetal/black would go of course...I'm upping the color scheme here. Actually have purple lugs, caps on the way and will be powedercoating my calipers in the near future along with my rims to tie it all in.

On to another note...my Torque Solution STS came in and I'm in love

- CNC'd stainless steel
- Ball bearing pivot
- Stainless steel hardware
- .25" height reduction
-PRICE

and then the RJM pedal Plan is to install the pedal this Saturday, drive for a week or 2 to really appreciate that mod ALONE...and then will install the STS and **** whenever I can make my mind up

Nice list of part you've got there, DFC. I'm glad to hear that you've already gotten some new lug-nuts to replace the current red lugs. I think purple is a much better choice for your car. That's actually why I suggested the Iconix lug-nuts, since they look like a purple chrome in most lighting, but not full on purple. I actually don't like the Iconix with my set-up and wish I had just gone with the black chrome ones. LOL

Thanks for the nice words, Brad. I wanted something a little different than everyone else, so I decided to leave some of the chrome to accent the polished lips on my wheels... the housings are also painted a dark gunmetal grey metallic (instead of the typical black) with full gloss clear-coat to also match my wheels. The honeycomb lenses were actually a last minute add on, as I wasn't sure if they were going to be too busy or not, but again, I wanted something different so I took a chance on it. Alex at ONEighty actually had a really tough time with the paint scheme on my headlights and even ruined a set of housings before he got it right. Apparently all the masking he had to do was pulling the chrome off when he removed it... thankfully he had an extra set of housings laying around that he was able to use. I applaud him for his persistence and excellent attention to detail.

Thanks 2 g yes I am running rhfc and cbe both fi. But I don't think it's the cats and it's really not audible unless you know what your looking for and when to look for it. When we put it up my mechanics pin pointed it into the mid section of the pipe where the weld is made to join the pipes. The thought is that it is internal in that weld area perhaps caused by the weld. Im.relying on their expertise. It's not a deal breaker for me I'm sure for others it would drive them crazy not mentioning any names lol. But I'll check in with Lance and see his thoughts. I was able to enjoy the set up finally since I didn't have that damn vibration. Now it's just a nice grumble as I call it...

I re-painted the horn-relay bracket. The first job didn't go so well:

I agree. I plan of having those brackets done, they just keep getting pushed back for lack of inspiration. I would, however, appreciate any input as to what color/finish you think would work.

Yes. Those are TS bonnet dampers.

You painted the bracket red? That looks really good. What paint did you use? And I'd just powder coat the GT-SPEC brackets satin black. Neutral color and doesn't over do it.

Thanks for the tip! I just ordered the same STS, same price. I will do my best to measure before/after as well.

I also ordered the Diode Dynamics "Tail as Turn" module. Hoping to get both of those done next week!
