Haha good to know!

Something worth mentioning given the price of the pipes along with the lead time.
Yes Sir. went with 2.5

Says the guy with AWD.

Seriously though that VDC is way too intrusive. I have more control in slippery conditions with it off.

I agree completely with Tbau. Although, I also haven't left my VDC on for over a year. haha. It's way too intrusive for my liking.

^ I'll give you that...

Couldn't agree more on the VDC being overly intrusive. The X is still plenty eager to get sideways in slick conditions... But, I'd rather be sideways and have control of what happens next vs. being sideways with a dead gas pedal.

We're supposed to get somewhere between 1-7". Me and my Pilot Super Sports will be spending the weekend in the garage.

Road crews have spread brine all over, which further diminishes traction. On the plus side, there is WAY less wheel hop with the whiteline rear differential bushings, so I have that going for me

On the plus side, being down south you can expect things the melt more quickly than we do up here. Sometimes we go through 2-3 months below freezing, and nothing melts. It just gets packed and icy.

I still don't know why you claim to get wheel-hop. It's been a few years now on 10" rears, so maybe I just don't remember what it was like.

We should thaw out by Tuesday.

Maybe it's the VDC? I recall you drive with it off, me with it on. And we're both on 275 rears. I cant imagine the .5" difference makes that big of a difference

Lucky bugger, we won't thaw for another 3 months probably. We are using below freezing for like 5 months or so :-/. I really need to move lol.

I personally haven't noticed any hop with it on or off with my summers or winters, which is odd. I've had 225s(stock), 245s (current winter setup) and 285(summer).

I was thinking the same thing... I've had my G for over 8 years now and have never encountered any kind of wheel hop. The last car I owned where I had any noticeable wheel hop was my 1973 Opel GT that I had back in high school... oh and my '87 Firebird Formula would also wheel hop occasionally.

You give me way too much credit for being an outlaw, Lego, and not the BS old guy that I am. The only time I turn off TC is if I'm playing with a hard launch, or pretending I'm Jim Rockford on a lonely turn (with a lot of space ).

I thought you were on staggered duckfeet? Guess not. If you have 9.5" wide rears with 275 PSS, VLSD, swaybars, etc.... doesn't make any sense why you're hopping. I wonder why that is, any thoughts? Don't take this wrong, but any chance you're misinterpreting the TC for wheel-hop?

Insofar as cars are any indication from then to now, you and I would have so very much have been friends when I was a young man. Just saying.

Carry on, guys. I've done absolutely nothing to my car today, or in the last couple months.

I had an 87 Formula too. Loved that car. Super sleeper as I had a Grand National engine in mine.
