Thanks, they are Firehawk Indy 500 255/40R19. Square set up (front and rear wheels are G35 Rays rears) because of the AWD. Went with 255, because I was worried about rubbing once lowered, but after a quick test drive I could probably go to 265 without issue.
Ooo nice gunmetal RAYS! Stance and tire fitment finish off the look so well. Also love the contrast of darker wheels on the silver car.
Thanks, took me a few weeks to pick the color (there are endless grey powder coat options) but I've been happy with how they turned out. The wheels are finished in Prismatic Speedway Grey, which has a ton of flake. They are the darker grey 90% of the time but almost change color when the sun hits them just right.
I asked the guy who unbent my rim (he also does powdercoating) and he told me like $200 per wheel. At that point i would almost rather just get new wheels lol.
Added 5mm spacers and longer studs to the front. So now I'm effectively a +30 offset. I'm digging it, but probably need to lower just a tad. Trying to find that perfect medium is a slight chore, but it's getting there.
That's what I was seeing here. Brand new Enkeis aren't much more than that. There used to be a shop here that would do all 4 for 200-300 if you media blasted them yourself prior to bringing them - but they've stopped doing small batch powdercoating of anything.
How much per wheel are most folks paying for powdercoat these days?
The powder coating was $140 per wheel last summer. Probably could have gone aftermarket for about the same price, but I've been sitting on the G35 Rays for years and got a good deal on them because they needed refinishing.
Where's the basis for this claim? All I've seen is fitment industries make the claim and not explain why they think this.
Several companies already increased prices. Not just wheels, tires too. Toyo just did a big hike. Several smaller wheel manufacturers have been active on social media talking about it. And Fitment Industries put the cherry on top, being a manufacturer and a retailer themselves. Their video did a pretty good job explaining the reason, so not sure why you say they didnt explain it.
That being said, there hasn't been any solid official statements coming out. Take it with a grain of salt.
Not today but over the weekend I re-did my Z1 intake install. I have a lot less room apparently than others with my Setrab oil cooler and lines in the area. It took some additional trimming of the bumper to fit properly, but mainly I didn’t like the filter sitting on the oil cooler line so I rigged up some brackets with 3” duct clamps. Helps me sleep better at night lol.
Credit to @rotarymike , I picked up the idea from his build thread.
Driver side bumper area trimmed. Similar to what’s required with 3” intakes I believe. Old vs New 3” duct clamp and random brackets from my tool box. Prior to securing the brackets to the crash bar.
