I agree, i don't know what they were thinking putting it there....I did the same...the way the CD changer blocked the opening of the trunk pretty much made the trunk useless for suitcases or even medium size things like baby stuff.....nothing would fit.....I still ahve never even opened the CD changer and wonder if the original owner of my car left any CDs in there

That's kind of cool, in an old-tech sort of way. I bet he has a CF memory card slot in his dash, too. Wow.

Yup, that's all part of the same package. I have the CF card as well, and my car has a hard drive with the ability to rip CDs directly onto it. I still have music on there from like 10 years ago

Spend 4 hours trying to replace front struts on 37x, and keep my swift spring last night, finished driver side and couldnt fit back in the passenger side, was too tired to continue and it was 1 am already, will continue tonight. Dont have impact gun and some of the bolts there were hell to remove.

I've got the 9g music drive, too.

IDK why I think the CF slot is cool, but wish I had it.

Did it make any horrible sounds when the power steering went out? It sounds like you may have lost the accessory belt. Same belt runs both the power steering and alternator. So your power steering would have gone out when the belt snapped and your car would have also been running on battery power only and without the alternator it would eventually die.

Hahaha. Me too.... My hard drive is pretty much full of old CD's from the 1980's and 1990's. Pretty much the only time I listen to that music any more is when I'm in the G.

I've been curious about doing this for quite a while now. Do you happen to have a part number for the replacement trunk liner for the non-tech car?

Nah, I actually took the liner out of a coworkers wrecked car before it went off to the scrapyard so I don't have a part number. Should be easy to find on the parts diagram though. Its well worth doing to free up some trunk space.

No problem. I was able to find Infiniti part # 84910-JK00A for the non CD changer upper trunk finisher piece. Will probably buy one and save it for a project on a rainy day. Looks like the going price is around $130 for a new one, but I'm gonna search around and see if I can find a used one first.

Seems like my drivers door lock actuator is going out. Thought it wouldn't even be a very expensive project but it looks like it's $500+ for the part here. So that sucks.

WD-40 is pretty good at dissolving adhesives. Just be sure to finish up with soap and water to remove the WD-40.
