Damn, love that color. Where do I find those headlights, or are they custom?

Finally installed the GTR map lenses with warm white LEDs throughout the interior. SuperBrightLEDs because I have a long (positive) history with them and hey, $3 per 194 style bulb.

Those GT-R lenses are an upgrade, no doubt. That whole crystal-cut design is so much more than the flat, frosted plastic.

I wish there were some way to make the side light covers the same.

I've been pondering the same thing. They're not terribly complicated - I bet I could use quick-set silicone to make a mold and then clear epoxy to make the shape. (watched WAY too much mythbusters). The harder part would be getting the facets inside; I had thought about covering the inside of the lens with tiny googly eyes (small domes) so when I take the mold it would replicate the dome shape. That might complicate the mold too much though.

Also - that's a boatload of work for two small reading lights.

... I wonder if the altima, maxima, or any of the crossover/suvs from Nissan have the same lens or similar that could be cut down?

Installed Z1 subframe collar inserts yesterday. The top inserts drop into place no problem, but damn the bottom inserts took a bit of force. First I used a rubber mallet and beat the crap out of it and wasn't getting anywhere. Since I had the car on a lift I decided to grab a pole jack and used a 38mm axle nut to help press in the lower collars. It's a very very tight fit. I even sprayed the rubber bushing and the collars with silicone lubricant. Didn't help much, was still hard to go in.

Didn't have enough time to install my bell raceworks rear differential brace. Will be doing that tomorrow.

Can't really give much impression at this time due to the fact that my car is having issues in manual mode in 1st gear. When doing a rolling start @ 5-10mph in 1st gear and flooring it the car accelerates like it is in limp mode all the way to redline. Once I hit redline and shift to 2nd the tires chirp going into 2nd and I immediately get 100% power.

It's very odd. I'm not sure if it's related to my tune but I e-mailed my tuner and sent him a data log. Waiting for a response. Car drives fine and accelerates fine in all other gears, but for 1st gear rolling starts and flooring it, the car takes like 5 seconds to hit redline. It revs really really slowly and than once I shift to 2nd the engine immediately comes to life and gives me full power. No codes or lights.

Question: Does the rear top collar protrude above the rubber bushing a bit, unlike the front collar? I thought it odd that the front collar sat flush with the rubber bushing and my top rears did not.

I had a lot of trouble with my rear bottom collar. I had to use jack and tube to get enough force to push it in.

You've convinced me. I honestly didn't think it would be such a big deal but now that I see them in person they do look a little nuts. Would be another thing if I wasn't lowered or something. I will exchange or sell them.
Yeah, 2 inches doesn't seem like a whole lot, but compared to a Dodge Challenger our cars really have small wheel well openings, so I imagine those tires will look crazy big when you set them next to the G. If you can exchange them for a better sizes then that would be great.

Thanks for the nice words! The color is just the OEM Ivory Pearl color. The heavy amount of pearl in it really pops when its nice and clean, especially under all those lights in the Anaheim Convention center where that show was being held. But once it gets slightly dirty you don't really notice all the pearl and it just looks like a boring slightly off white color. LOL

The headlights are completely custom and were done by ONEighty Customs in NY. I decided the paint design and picked the halos and etched glass myself. If you want any more details just let me know.

FYI... I still have an extra set of OEM G37 Sport Sedan headlights if anyone is interested.

Yeah they said they'd exchange. Sadly this means I'm back in the expensive tire options, and I may have to settle on 305's. Apparently those challenger guys have it good.

Yup, that's the main reason I'm still running 305's. The only cars I know of that run the 315/30R20's size are the McLaren 650S, 720S and MP4-12C, so your pretty much stuck with their high priced OEM Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. My original plan was to go with the Pirelli's in 265/35R20's for the front and 315/30R20's in the rear, but I ended up getting a partial sponsorship deal from Toyo which I couldn't pass up.

Glad to hear they will exchange them though... So I would just try and stay somewhere between 26.5" and 27.5" overall diameter and you should be fine.

I did this today

Being I don't really have a scratch on this car yet... I've already ordered a replacement.

Putting this on was a breeze.
Anyone know what a pain removing the lip will be because of the double stick tape?

Got my coupe wheels installed with pilot super sports 245/40/19 all around and mud guards installed.

Swifts are next to take care of that wheel gap.

Ugh! Sorry about the damaged lip. Easiest way to remove it is with some fishing line (dental floss may work too). Heating it up slightly with a heat gun or hair dryer will also help speed up the process.

Excellent idea...fishing line. I expect there will be a lot of goo gone and picking off the tape afterwards.
Thanks for the feedback.

Got a free slightly damaged lip if anyone wants it. Like new otherwise.
