Love having the garage attached to the house and two heaters....I'd go crazy accumulating parts and not installing them within a week.

Picked up a Y-Pipe I haven't seen mentioned on here so I'll be installing that a bit later tonight and writing up my thoughts. After just a visual inspection, seems like a solid option (as solid as a piece of pipe can be) It's the same dimensions as the stock Y-pipe so I'm hoping the install goes smooth.

When you factor in Flat Earth Theory and the velocity of an unladen swallow, fuel and radiator and oil cap bling adds almost 13HP and 8 gigs of RAM.

Those intakes look interesting, but I can't find them on injens website. Are these discontinued or something?

H Pipe

After installing the z1 HFCs the heatshields and clamps on the stock mid pipe and y pipe started to deteriorate. Soooooo we decided to change out the stock cat back with a custom H pipe. 2" piping back from the HFCs Still mated to the HKS axle back. Its raspy but I'm enjoying it.

First start. Surprised by volume.

Couple revs last night.

Very very cold start this morning.

How do you guys locate the SKYLINE lettering vertically? Mine came in a foam cut-out deal to keep spacing proper, but it's just a rectangle. The 370GT foam is cut to follow the taillight/trunk edge to locate it.

This is what I did. Duct tape the back side, so you don't scratch the paint. Use indoor/outdoor mounting tape to apply the horizontal bar to the three vertical pieces. Then after debadging the INFINITI letters, just line up the SKYLINE letters to the center bar.

Took a while to come up with this, because maybe I'm slow, and I didn't want to fck it up. But it totally worked.

Z1 Stainless steel lines installed and fresh brake fluid added. Not the most exciting mod but brake pedal is very solid and initial softness and mushiness after hard driving has been eliminated.

Also replaced the EVAP control solenoid/canister. Mine decided to crap put on me yesterday.

going to place an order for fast intentions gaskets this week. Car sounds horrible.
there is a nice power pickup nonetheless and no cel so far as these utilize a j shape o2 bung.
they do smell bad.
broke both demon bolts but i knew i would.
any updates on the fast intentions gaskets? I have motordyne art pipes and sure enough I had a leak. I bought the z1 header to test pipe metal gaskets and still leaks.
I had a exhaust shop owner tell me to double gasket them.. so its either that or try the fast intentions gaskets you're mentioning.

no i didnt order them. Instead i had some cheap generic gaskets laying around. I paired that with the z1 gasket. It sealed it up pretty good but im betting the generic will blow eventually. One solution i may try is to double the z1 gaskets since theyll never blow they are just too thin imo. Since you have art pipes you should only need the oem donut gasket. If your leaking with the oem donut and z1 gasket your header flange may be warped. You may be a good candidate for rtv silicone.

Decided to take a stab at reupholstering a few things in my G with micro suede. Working on the center arm rest, I can’t decide if I want to place a raised Infiniti logo there or not.

If you have the skills to make that happen, by all means, go for it. It's unique, and would probably look fine.

Here's the thing about the center console lid... you really don't see or notice it while sitting in the driver's seat. Certainly not while driving. And you really don't even notice it when getting in and out of the car, because of the seats. It's one of those interior items that's just there, only looked at when you make the effort.

I guess what I'm saying is whatever you do here will eventually be under the radar... which is a great place to give attention to details.

Thanks Rochester! I’ve followed you and your G since I got mine 3 years ago. I love your attention to detail and all the small things that you’ve done that make your ride unique, so I’ve been kinda doing the same thing with mine. It’s the small things to me that set cars apart. And I know it won’t be seen that much, but when you do notice it, ooooh! 🙂

Speaking of, i never did get a picture of the back engine bay cover you came up with. I made mine per your post, think I could still trim it up a bit better, and got the surround trim from you. I tried to wrap the tray surrounds but got frustrated with the vinyl so truck bed linered, to match the strut bar texture, and then painted them silver.
