Hey Slarti, I have to give you crap (only because everyone else did) and then I'll be done. I agree with the punctuation and grammar needs around here; however, correct me if I am wrong, but I believe every time the word "but" is used in the middle of sentence ^^^, there usually needs to be a comma before it. There, now we can move past the grammar bit!

Hi Nicoderm, where did you get the rubber spacers?

I got home yesterday evening from my solo road trip.

1,127 miles between Thursday and Sunday with a trip computer average of 23.7 mpg.

This was my longest road trip in my G37. We've taken it to Atlanta a couple times (~250 miles) but this was my first real road trip. Some observations:

The cup holders are a cruel joke on the 6MT drivers. For years I said things like "no drinks in my car" or "I don't need cupholders", but now, I really miss not having a functioning cup holder for a cup of coffee or a 16oz soda. I'm a big water drinker, so I usually just leave a water bottle rolling around behind the passenger seat and grab it whenever, but on a longer trip, or when my wife's traveling and I leave the house at 6:50 with the kids, I'd really like a cup of coffee

This car was an absolute blast in the mountains of WV. Especially enjoyable was shaming pickups who thought their V8 could get the jump on me coming out of the toll booths

The navigation seems way off. Maybe it's just old maps, but I plugged in my home destination and the GPS came up 500 miles with a 9:23 minute drive. I know that wasn't right, so I used my phone, 434 miles, 6:52 minute drive. My GPS didn't synch up with the route I was taking for almost 100 miles, and even then, it had an ETA of 90 minutes later than my phone for the duration of the drive, finally rapidly dropping time the last 30 minutes

No issues with the CSC either, Rochester

Just a google search on the Images Tab. The ones pictured are listed here:

Just got back from my road trip from Boston, to the Catskills then Brooklyn and back. The backroads of the Catskills are a blast! However, the city driving I could do without.
~500mi round trip, and I got 25.9mpg on the computer.
Going back to the Catskills next weekend, going tonhave some more fun going up and down the mountainsides.

Can you realistically fit anything in them?

Smartwater bottle, nope. 16oz Tervis, not happening. Any fountain drink from a fast food restaurant

The Center console is only good for one coffee cup... and I would but a beverage without a screw on lid in the door

I haven’t found anything that really fit securely in the center console with or without the divider. Even then, it obstructs shifting.

Is there a particular cup you use?

That’s all that will fit. The cup holders on the 6mt suck. And it became obvious on a 8 hour drive.

If you're looking, the 20oz tumbler from RTIC (like yeti but cheap) fits perfectly with the divider in. You'll still only get one though. Watch for a sale and you can get them for like $7-8. They're great cups.

As I can't go more than three hours at at time, I buy just one bottle and it lasts to the next stop. No problemo.
