Okay, let’s get back on track....
Last night, after men’s night, I stopped by my local Home Depot for a deep drive-11mm-12pt socket. Tonight, I will FINALLY complete the install of my Wilwood BBK that has been in my possession since March.
Backstory. Last week I picked up a 12pt metric socket set in prep for install. I put the 2pc rotors together with the provided 12pt 8mm bolts, and forward thinking, was ready for the 11mm 12pt caliper locking nuts.
Fast forward to Sunday. Starting with the fronts, everything goes smoothly, nothing’s seized, and the kit fits like a dream. I torque down the front calipers with my handy-dandy socket kit and move to the rear of the car. Rears also come apart pretty smoothly other than the stock lower caliper bolts, which are slightly more difficult to access due to the wheels not turning. I dry fit the driver side and moved to the passenger. Tightening the right rear caliper in order to check final fitment, the socket bottoms out...
F**k
It’s too late in the day to go socket searching... 30minutes into town. 4 nuts and a bleed to go, project gets abandoned.

But what's a men's night? And how deep was that socket?

Men’s night is a golf reference... and the original socket was standard 3/8 drive, maybe 1”-1”1/4 deep. New one that I grabbed last night is 3” deep, but i’ll have to use a 1/2” to 3/8 drive adapter to use my little torque wrench. They only call for 28ft/lbs.

New Chat Thread. Bwahahaha!
Lego, check in mid-way in your trip, when your CSC blows out 600 miles from home.
Nah, you'll be fine.

Are you trying to jinx me???
Let's just hope if it does blow, I'm at one of my destinations and not in the middle of nowheresville West Virginia. I'm prepared for the worst though, I have a bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel and a bottle of Elijah Craig.
I think we should be more worried about my liver than the CSC

I'm going to miss my wife and kids, but from a timing perspective, I picked the best possible time of the month to vacate the house
Too smoky for me. My usual swill is Makers Mark, but I have a soft spot for both JD Single Barrel and Elijah. If I'm dedicated I can make it through both of them.
