I was thinking of doing my switchbacks today. It's warm for once lol.

Does anyone know a 12v switched power source in the engine bay?

How difficult would you rate the install process?

In the trunk at each corner:
  • Remove two plastic clips and pull back the trunk liner.
  • Unclip the tail light harness.
  • Clip in the module between the two OEM harness connectors.
  • Put the liner back.

On a scale of 1 to 10, this isn't even a 1.

honestly on a scale of 1-10 its a -1. you'd have to be full blown retard to not know how to plug a clip in.

On another note, broke a dam stud last night. very strange, washed the car, noticed a loose nut, went to torque it down, got maybe 1 turn and stud broke. Think maybe it was corroded as the stud did not break off into the nut as if being cross threaded. I personally torque to 80-82lbs. So had that replaced today at dealer....sucked but obviously nothing to put off at any length.

Not how I would have worded it, but yes.

The only tool that you need is a medium flat-head screwdriver to pry loose the liner caps. But everything else is by hand, and idiot-proof.

They look awesome. Post pics when you get them behind some wheels.

Hey Guys! This week, I sent my car away to get cosmetic work done.
In picture you will see the additions: painted matte black rear chrome lip, painted matte black front grille, painted matte black existing OEM rims and tints. In the near future, I will get the exhaust tips painted matte black, remove the rear lettering and stick with only the chrome INFINITI logo (still unsure, also may have the side mirrors painted matte black (still unsure). OPINIONS will be appreciated

Window trim has more awkward contrast now that the windows are tinted on a dark car.

Similarly, since you went full black on the front grille, instead of midnight grille, the non-sport headlights will stand out.

Don't paint the side mirrors. It will look low-budget.

Wheels look better. Trunk looks better. Whole car looks better.

Thank you!!! I do agree about the window chrome trim now looking at it. I will keep that in mind next time I return. Thank you for your feedback. It is appreciated.

I agree with Rochester on this one, The black improves the look of the 17's and also works well on the trunk lip. I would think twice about painting the exhaust tips black especially if the remaining badging on the trunk will stay chrome, If you paint the tips I think the lack of chrome in the rear will make the emblem(s) stick out. 100% wrap the chrome window trim, IMO it looks proper on almost every color G and will make a huge difference especially in this application. Might consider wrapping the center grille slats in a gloss black and leave the outer edge flat black to create some contrast while sticking with the blacked out look. Those headlights are begging to be cracked open and painted next.. slippery slope...

Looking good g37X2013.

oh, and skip the mirrors....

Agreed.

Window trim and headlights need toning down. Many options and price-points for both...

But bottom line w/o anything else? Your G looks fantastic in everyway!!

Enjoy.

TBau651 - thank you for your feedback. I will do the chrome window trim matte black, the more I hear it, the more I look and I realize it. Thanks again!
