Delayed response when opening D/S door. Door jamb switch?

Hey guys,

I've noticed over the past month that sometimes when opening the driver's side door, there is a delay of a few seconds before the car 'reacts' to the opening of the door. In other words, the seat doesn't roll back, and the courtesy lights (and dome lights if I have them on) do not turn on. After about 6-7 seconds, the car reacts and everything works properly.

Similarly, if I have the car on and open the door, the door open indicator on the cluster does not show that the door is open - it takes a few seconds to register. All of the other doors are fine.

I see the door jamb switch, part number 25360-AD000, costs about $15. Does it sound like this might be the issue? Hopefully this is it, would be a cheap fix.

Diagram of the part:

Anyone ever experienced this before? How did you fix it?

Thanks

Can you swap the switches from driver side to passenger side? Are they identical?
If the problem goes away, it's the switch.

True, per the part numbers, they are the same. Will try that tomorrow and report back. Thanks for the reply

Problem solved with a phillips screwdriver. Door jamb switch was functioning, but loose. Tightened up, all is well
